It's admittedly a gamble flying into an unfamiliar country airport to avoid big city airport fees, but Mount Pleasant (KLRO) in the Charleston area was a real winner, particularly given the ludicrous fees at KCHS & KJZI!

Another butter landing...gas is only three fifty here in Austin Texas...come fill up.. love your flying style. I'm a fan of the Troyster..

Enjoyed the video! We were just at Mt. Pleasant on Feb 4th returning on the 8th for our fuel stop on the way to/from Ft. Pierce. Excellent line crew, friendly and quick service, along with the best fuel prices. This will be our go to stop when headed to Port St. Lucie.

Another good one. There is real cheap self serve gas at SAV, it’s not advertised but is back by FedEx and Savanah Aviation shop.

Took my wife to Charleston for our Anniversary in 2019. We spent one night at St Simon's Island and then flew up to Sommerville. That was a nice airport, too.

Great video - not only do you save gas $ but also application and wear of your brakes as you land flapless with a loooong rool-out :-)

Yes! As an aircraft owner with a checkbook, I have a healthy appreciation for going easy on my brakes! As for flaps, I only use them when I need them.

Seems ATC misspeaks at @ 6:32 - you will be turning towards north east - not northwest ?
