I got married in Italy a while back. Gorgeous country to travel through by train. Keep in mind that the train system here in Europe is vastly different to that in the USA.

It’s worth mentioning that by taking the train you avoided some really high road tolls. Some longer drives can cost more than $50 in tolls.

I’m going to in May to Italy for a honors class trip, lowkey nervous/anxious hahaha, never been on a flight for so long. Longest is probably 4 or 5 hours tbh. but definitely excited as well lol.

It was great weather, Just about perfect for walking around in a t shirt. There was one or two nights that we had a light jacket, but for the most part we didn't need it

Very nice Video! My wife and I are planning to visit Italy in October. (hope covid problem won't be too big). I am wondering what camera and lenses do you use? the quality looks very sharp and clear! (I am about to upgrade my camera to canon R6)

I can't stop looking at her hair. Its really beautiful. You guys are a good looking couple, easy to watch the video. Very informative video as well. Hopefully me and my gf will be able to travel like this together soon. We saw Greece + Netherlands together, but we were in Greece trying to plan for Italy in May 2021, and Italy just wasn't opened yet.

Thanks! We were actually planning on going to Jordan, but when Italy opened up we changed our flights last minute, so we were some of the first Americans that we able to visit after lockdown

My husband and I just got back from Italy on Friday. They never even checked our covid test, or passenger location form. The only place that did was Germany on the way home.

@@TheAwkwardTourists I’m excited I’m heading to Europe for 3 weeks in 12 days I’m counting down the days, so far I’ll be in Spain 🇪🇸, Denmark 🇩🇰 Sweden 🇸🇪 Finland 🇫🇮 Romania 🇷🇴 Bulgaria 🇧🇬 Greece 🇬🇷 Italy 🇮🇹 and I still have a week left for my itinerary to book. Thanks for sharing! I'm actually thinking about planning a trip this coming June to Italy through a travel group company (as I'd be traveling solo). I just don't want to be totally by myself..lol. Figured I'd be waiting a lifetime if I continue trying to plan with friends..lol. But Italy has been on the top of my bucket list. I'm just wondering what the travel restrictions are for traveling to Italy but I'm sure things change all of the time. I'm fully vaccinated but I never received a covid test. I get super nervous about objects going up my nostrils..😂

I like your way of thinking! Go out and do it while you can. If your friends wont make plans go anyways! You are totally right. The regulations are changing all the time, so just keep checking in as it gets closer to your trip. Sometimes you will need a negative test even if you are vaccinated, but by then, a vaccine card may be enough. If you do need a test, there may be an option to do a cheek swab...but even if you have to get the "up the nose" test, it really isn't that bad. We have both had about 40 tests each throughout the pandemic. Usually they aren't uncomfortable, but if they are they are over quickly. You got this! Plan that trip!

Silly question. Are they putting stamp in your passport in Iceland or Italy? I’ll be going to Iceland in a couple of months. I love to collect stamps in my passport.

The purpose is so we can have cheaper international data. Everyone's international phone plans will be different, we buy SIM cards because that's the best move for us.

We do have international plans on our phones, it charges us $10 per day though, so sometimes it is cheaper to buy a SIM

Solo i leave 7/16 from Newark. Should I still pay for a test here in the states before my flight? And did you guys have to pay for that test at the airport out of pocket?...last thing: how will you guys find a test to return home because I'll need one. Thanks.

Things have changed a little bit since we were there. Check this website for up to date info regarding flying into Italy it.usembassy.gov/covid-19-information/ When we went we did have to pay for both tests. (going in and coming out) out of pocket. We were able to get tested at the Milan airport before flying out

how was the Newark Airport experience? Did you need a covid test? what other things did they request? How about when landing in italy, what did you have to do? We leave from Newark in a few days

At the time we traveled that was the case. To my knowledge, you no longer need to get a test upon arrival if you have the vaccine card, but don't hold me to that. The link we posted in the description has more information about it

You do not have to be Vaccinated to travel to Italy, but you will have to quarantine upon arrival if you are not vaccinated
