Ok from Lite bright to nuclear Fusion...no no where good. Few Christmas Rum and cokes in., maybe just a question or two. Think we just have to watch it again once or 200 times again. Loved it keep them coming, we're slowly a lot really...slowly but really,.

I am almost 70 years old and have been working on cars most of my life. I've done some crazy things with the wiring of a car, like jumping the fuel pump relay to get a F150 to my garage where I could repair it properly. I've rigged up a circut to control glow plugs on a diesel and many other things. But YOU are far ahead of me. I am amazed how younger people can jump into the wiring and come up with so many applicatiions for the use of relays. Thanks for the video, not only can people learn from this, but they can also be amazed and know we have young people who KNOW what they are doing.

I followed it easy, but having 15 years of custom car A/V and alarms to reinforce my understanding definitely didn't hurt. But nonetheless, as always great video, I've always been a lighting junky since way before the industry caught on and started cranking out the incredible products you guys use today, so i very much appreciate what goes into designing, wiring, and building these projects. Much respect to you guys, keep the awesome content coming, literally can't get enough of it!

I only had to watch it 3 times while I was trying it out as you went. I couldn’t pause fast enough. When I finally got to the end and you corrected 85 to 87 cleared everything up lol. That is a lot of info to take in. I’m sure it’s not easy to convey that much information to people in a time limited video. It was a lot of info but not too much and it did help a lot. Thank you for your time and expertise 👍

I’m starting a massive wiring project and looking at everything I can find to brush up on simple stuff that I know as well as learn about new tech that I have no experience with. This was just suggested to me this morning by KZfaq. You clearly know your stuff. I’ll be browsing through your channel to see what else you have going on.

Thanks for the insight I’ve re-wired my late father’s boat which had copper wire throughout with not a single relay. I replaced the generator with an 353 amp high output alternator from a 2k Silverado. Voltage light is a little tricky because the exciter wire has less than 12 volts when the engine is not running which activates the light when engine starts the voltage is greater than 12 volts and this turns off the light, however I removed and replaced the warning light but I will use a relay with my output voltage from the alternator to pin 86 pin 87a I will hook the light to and nothing on pin 87 ignition power to pin 30 so when I turn my key on power will energize the light when output voltage energizes the relay power will switch to 87 turning off the warning light. You helped me figure out. 👍🏾👍🏾 two thumbs up!!

Definitely good stuff! I’ve been trying to figure out he to wire my Baja Designs LP series lights that have high and low beams through the factory upfitter riches in my Raptor. I was concerned that both the high beam and ow beam switch could get activated and fry the light circuit board, but you’ve explained relays well enough to lead me in the right direction. Lost me a bit with the diodes, but great info overall! Thanks!

Your videos are going to help me a lot trying to realize my project for mums Audi TT. Even it sounds very basic, the more I think into it, the more I get confused how to get the wireing right. DRL that turns off when turnsignal is on. Simple switchback so far. Additional the DRL should go dimm via a PWM when the headlights turned on. And of course the basic auto on/off.

You’re doing an excellent job explaining I’m starting to grab onto what you’re talking about. I have about 50 years experience but I have not messed with relays in a while not since I was four years old and installing radios and communication and police cars. my dad was the head engineer for all the police car installations learned how to build wire harness. learn how to solder wires at three years old. thank you for doing a video without any music in the back around.

Iokay on the 12 volt battery to turn on ATV it has a relay that is connected to two red wires and ground wire I connected the terminals wrong I was jumping it from another battery to the ATV battery and now it can't turn it on but the fuse has a little glass fuse didn't burn out so I want to know if it would be the starter or the relay that got burned out most likely it would be the relay right

I had a pair of relays wired up to control the auxiliary incandescent fog and driving lights in my Courier pickup. The circuit was designed to work either automatically (high beams or low beams) or manually (straight on or off). This was before computerized controls; nowadays, it is best to have a relay with diode protection across the coil; you don't want counter emf damaging delicate electronic parts. Also, when adding non-factory wiring, use of standard connectors and connector pins is a good idea. If your car needs any kind of repair, the shop will be reluctant to reconnect non-standard wiring they had to disconnect in order to fix your car.
