2 жыл бұрынOur trip into the subreddit did not disappoint, with some of the funniest Football Manager memes we have ever seen. I have been saving this title for a time that the Zealand Reddit was particularly spicey, and this was that time. The memes range from strictly Football Manager content that may pass for a guide, to simply finding a joke in our videos and streams that we do here, which I absolutely love.
If you haven't been on the reddit before, it is a great place to ask questions and learn about Football Manager, as well as a great place to vent about how Floridsdorfer is doing or about how I should stream more. I know I should, it’s fun to play FM but I also need to make videos about it so there is a delicate balance, I promise I’m working on it.

The context of the video in which Clarkson takes off the bandage off of Mays head is that, they were in Syria and May fell over and hit his head on a rock so had to go to hospital to get a bandage. Eventually they joined back together and went to this holy lake in Syria to take off the bandage as if it was a miracle by Jesus. There’s the context

4:07 so top gear were in the Middle East. They were towing one of the cars up a hill and an accident meant James May cracked his skull open and had to go to hospital. The theme of the episode was going to bible sites as it was a Christmas special. Jeremy Clarkson was trying to prove that he was actually Jesus himself. Pretty standard behaviour for our Jezza. So he ‘healed’ James’ head. Obviously it was like 2 weeks later and it was actually just better but it is a good meme

Because of your video "a fun save for every European league" I started managing Górnik Zabrze in Poland, and loaned in Taylor Booth from Bayern Munich. Long story short, we won the league twice running and despite him feeling well above the club to begin with, he fell in love with the place (and the feeling was mutual), and he's now our key player signed permanently. We won the league becuase of loans loans LOOOAAAANNNNSSS.

Transfers still feel pretty broken this year, signed Calum Chambers from Arsenal for 2.7M and sold him a couple seasons later to Brentford for 28.5M, Also got Riess Nelson for 12.5M from arsenal then sold him a couple seasons later to spurs for 48M. I guess the take away is just buy everyone that Arsenal ever transfer lists

4:10 so James (the guy with the bandage on his head) fell on his head while trying to help Hammond (not visible in this GIF) tow Jeremy (the other guy). He spent a few days in hospital and was later allowed to return to the group after having healed.

Chessi: Z wanted to buy him but could only loan him. I think what is meant is that you loan somebody and THEN you realise you really, really want to buy them. Chessi was a bit more complicated due to the Lens takeover and the missing manager situations, he was a transfer target from the start.

Funny to see you wear the shirt of my hometown club. Their stadium is right around the corner. They have a great atmosphere and the club is also partly owned by the fans. In 2003 the fans saved the club from bankruptcy. They also won the EUFA Super Cup in 88/89. Great shirt from a club with a great history! :)

@4:09 I did it last night. Player pulls his hamstring doing a 'full sprint' in training. The training was penalty training last session before a cup final. The next sessions were recovery and match preview. I just thought, bollocks to that rng, who is going to run full pelt in penalty training appart from Harry Kane.

I loaned a guy, then bought him at the end of the season, then sold him the season after. Didn't want to sell him but they offered too much and he got mad I rejected it, so I offered to the team that bid for an extra half million or so (around the 2 million mark, so a decent chunk).

That was me that got the Wells City shirt . I originally found them because my last name is Wells and I just found it too perfect of a club to not become the manager of. I’m still waiting from the reporter from BBC Bristol for when the story was going to be run. He told me the 8th but ever since this Ukraine/Russia war has gone down it probably got put on the back burner which is sad but completely understandable

May I ask how did you play with a 10th tier team english team on FM? I'm guessing you had to install a mod to add those extra non-league teams but I'm not sure, would appreciate if you could enlighten me

@@Lima0 sorry it took so long to see this , I found a database on the steam workshop that made the first 11 tiers of the English pyramid. Then I had the in game editor and renamed all their players to the real names of the players, I then talked to one of their players named Charlie moon and asked for formations and who some of their better players are and adjusted their attributes accordingly

I got hired as manager of a struggling Mallorca close to the december 2023 transfer window. Team was really low quality, was struggling 18th in the table, there was not a lot in the bank for transfers, and my best player (a south korean whose name I don't even remember) was unsettled and wanted to leave. I offered a loan for FC Barcelona's Eric Garcia. he wasn't playing much at Barça so I figured the offer might go through. Back they came with a 100k monthly fee and a 60% wage demand. Far more importantly... a 15M mandatory buyout fee. Meaning around 15M and a half for a very young superpotential center back. I could not believe it. Meanwhile R. Madrid asked for 6M total in another mandatory buyout fee for me getting Take Kubo on loan. I could not believe it either. I just was looking for some good players to shore up a really poor team for half a year, was given the chance to sign them for good at a REALLY incredible cost. Both young, both wanting to come to get some 1st team playing time, both guys' wages I could afford. Yeah...that was good. Had to make some major transfer management to get the needed money for the mandatory fees, including the south korean deserter (lol), who I managed to sell for 22M...so got them both...2 years later Garcia was sold to Newcastle for 60M after I won (!!!!) the Europa League, Spanish Cup, and finished 3rd in La Liga. He was my best CB but I had promised him I'd sell him if an offer for 50M came...well, I got even more for him. Meanwhile and a bit down the line Kubo's transfer value is around 100M € and he's my key playmaker midfielder in a team that qualified 2nd in La Liga two years in a row. Other players that I got with buyout clauses include Sesko for 10M (LOLed when I was able to get that one), Abde (Winger from Barça B, got him for 2.5M, played pretty well for me, sold him for 17M to Mainz 05), a really neat DM from Inter called Grajera (4.5M, eventually sold for 20), and some others I also made some good profit for. There's indeed value in buyout clauses. In fact they pretty much were the key for me in that save...

@@n0body550 Ofc no hating, but in stature and pure size, Anderlecht is a way bigger club than Union. I agree it hasn’t been the best couple of seasons lately, but we’re getting back up there. Union are doing a brilliant job at the moment, a Leicester-like story but next year almost everyone off them will leave.

Hey zealand, I am managing Boston United a club from the Vanarama north (5th or 6th tier). I am currently in the year 2035 and have successfully brought this club to glory. We have won the euro cup, euro super cup (vs barcelona), caraboa cup, and are still currently chasing our first premier league title. Thought this was impressive wanted to let y’all know.

Also just to vent...beat Man City last night 1-0 in Champs league knockout with a team in my build a nation save...and the game crashed during the processing to the next day. This morning vacationing thru the game as a joke as a test....they beat me 10/10 times. Ufh
