Great video. I got some good ideas from it to use in insulating my own pole building. Thanks!

Might want to read up on thermal bridging. The purlins or girts (the 2x4) will bridge cold into the building. Need an air gap, and something to cover over and break the thermal bridging. What you did was good and will most definitely help but take a thermal camera in the winter and your horizontal 2x4's will be blue (cold).

Nice shop. Thought about doing the 1.5" horizontal then framing 2x4's horizontally between posts with 96" batts. My builder did not put house wrap on and not sure if foil against metal would cause condensation issues

What store did you purchase foam boards from? Thanks it looks nice.

What type of house wrap did you use?

I'm glad I'm not the only one struggling with these decisions. Hard to know what the best way is, but like you, I don't want to frame inside and I don't want to use fiberglass

Good morning. I like your attitude towards work and how you work. I wish I could be as relaxed as you lol. I am in the last stages of building a detached 24x48 steel clad building with 4 - 10x8 car openings. I went with a plywood roof deck and regular asphalt shingles to match the house. I am most likely going to insulate this same exact way. I don’t know if I will do a double layer or not though. Nice job and I chose the same kind of color scheme as you. I did ash gray over textured black. Now I have to decide whether I want black garage doors or white. Is it all finished now?

I am finished with insulation. I still need to get steel up on the walls and electric in. Which I am planning on starting soon. Thanks for watching!

How did this come out? How did you insulate the ceiling?
@j2zworks2 жыл бұрын
The shop isn't completed yet. The ceiling is done, used rolled batts. I have a video on it under the Shop Time playlist. Thanks for watching!

This guy is really into having people watch him futs around. That strikes me as egotistical.
