In this video I will show you how to use and how to create different projects using foil Quill freestyle pens made by We R Memory Keepers. I am using a Magnetic Mat to help hold foil and stencil together for easy foiling. This is an easy and fun project and you will like it. These pens are excellent if you’re a beginner or a professional or anything in between. You can foil pretty much everything you want. Check out my other videos for more fun projects and DIY.

Just got mine today and tried all 4 pens just a little. Thank you for showing all the different items that can be used. One thing I tried was vellum and it worked beautifully. I also have the quill for my cameo machine. Now I am set for starting Christmas cards, decorations, gifts and who knows what all. I think the only limitation is your own imagination.

I absolutely love your demo! I love how you went through different items to showcase its full potential. My main question was, could I use a regular pen to draw out what I want, then trace over it with the foil pen? And you answered that for me! Literally no other videos have. Thank you so much! I was already sold on buying this, but now, I need it like ASAP! 😂

Dawn B Hi. Thank you for watching. 🤗 Yes I purchased them from HSN and the name is “We R Memory Keepers freestyle stencils”. I believe they are sold out at the moment but they should get some back. But any other stencils will work fine too. 👍🏻

I didn't see this asked, but do you know if the foil will stay adhered to all of these materials? Fabric and paper I can understand, but not sure about these others. Thanks, great video! I did not know they had these freestyle foil quills :)

Laurie Clark yes it will stay adhered. It will stay adhered on fabric too but it will disappear if you wash the fabric but other then that it will stay on all of those materials. I have a video about it here is a link:kzfaq.info/get/bejne/r7N0bMt80t7DdZc.html

Can we use metal stencils? I have some brass ones I got years ago. I love your video. But, maybe you could eliminate the background music. The purple tote is beautiful I would love to know where to get one. Your really an excellent teacher. I am waiting for my set to arrive I hope tomorrow.

Thank you. But, can we use brass stencils also? Yes, I got some of those hanger sets fro HSN before also. But they were very different from what you have. Mine are gold but, they are a diamond shape pattern. I love HSN I just wish they shipped it faster. Amazon has me spoiled I guess. 😂

Charlotte Bruce Hi. Thank you for watching. Yes you can use any other foil. I used crafters companion holographic silver on wood vanity tray. I used a coupon at Joann on big rolls of wrmk rolls and the coupon worked so I purchased them very inexpensive. 🤗🤗🤗

Hey Charlotte...just thought I'd share my 2 cents. I don't know much about these foil pens, but I'd double check regarding your question about the foil because my understanding is that there are 2 basic types: one is HEAT TRANSFER FOIL (like Spellbinders Glimmer Hot foils, Crafter's Companion Gemini Foils and WRMK foils used in this video). The 2nd type is REACTIVE TRANSFER FOIL which is using heat with the addition of a reactive agent such as specialized transfer gel (like Therm o Web toner transfer gel) or ink toner (like in Laser printers or you can buy toner sheets). This type of foil is generally used with a heat laminator or MINC machine (examples of Reactive Transfer Fiols are Heidi Swapp MINC Reactive Foil, Therm O Web iCraft Deco Foil Transfer Sheets, and Gina K/Therm O Web Fancy Foils). Of course, there are many other brands of foils out there but just be sure of the type of foil you require before you make a purchase. To sum it up, regarding these foil pens I would double check to see if the pens can only use Heat Transfer Fiols, which I suspect is the case. I hope this helps as I learned this the hard way regarding the purchase of the SB Glimmer Hot Foil System LOL! Happy crafting!

I just got my (2) pen and and got the foil quil heat foil activated foil sheets it shows the machine on the back , my question is can I use them with these pens? cuz I see a lot of the foil quil sheets w the machine on the back of the package , can I use any kind of foil w the pens, I'm new to this just started using them for the first time! any suggestions would be helpful 😊

Yvonne Mccain Hi. As long as the foil is heat activated you can use it with these pens. Like crafters companion has a foil machine and it uses heat to transfer foil to things like card stock or leather or velum and stuff, so that foil will work with these pens. Foil like “mink foil” will not work because it need toner from the laser printer to get a transfer. So any foil that is heat activated will work. 😊
