Hey Shane, I thought both of these footwork videos were great! I would love to see more of this. Footwork, head movement, and overall speed and dexterity work. There are a lot of fight channels that show you how to throw strikes, but I would love to have better cardio, conditioning and agility! Thanks, and keep up the good work!

Any chance you can do a video on foot work, designed to efficiently and accurately create the largest offline for centre of mass and angle change? This foot work looks great, but it all keeps you pretty much in the pocket with your opponent, managing angle. I'd love to see what ideas there are on distance manoeuvring, as it's been my experience that conflicts away from training rarely involve sitting on one opponent with direct engagement. IE: it's always out numbered, and it's a very movement heavy scenario with rapid switching of targets as they (tend) to split around you positionally. In fact, the last time I got caught with by a punch when attacked on the street, it was due to sticking the same target with a 2nd strike to take him out of the situation, leaving me over exposed to the other assailant for a moment too long. In my head, it felt like I KNEW what to do, but the first strike caused the first guy to lift his chin HIGH, and somewhere in that moment, my head said "that's too good to ignore" and I laid him out with a right cross, in the very next moment, I took a shot to the side of the eye and had to cover and back out as it swelled extremely quickly and I lost my right side vision. It wasn't a result of bad striking alone, it was a result of bad movement... I stuck my position to deliver a "bye bye" shot on someone whom was already disorientated and a diminished threat... I stuck in the pocket with him, and his friend landed his shot, I was VERY lucky it glanced my eye, and didn't land square. I might not have got out of that one as a result.

Can you do a video exercise that promotes power through balance, I’ve tried the shoelaces trick but find it slows down my foot speed and movements shuffles ( only used through punches and close bag elbow strikes). Want to be able to move but still have speed and power. Just getting back into it, horribly out of shape Matt Sera style.

Second one is good for an open stance fight. Good showing relative beginners that the “keep your foot on the outside” advice is very overrated. Nice one shane
@harleyzeth
@harleyzeth 5 жыл бұрын
I'm a southpaw and ironically I almost can only land my left hands when my foot is on the inside and I move to the outside of my opponents right hand or even just over the top of their right hand. It's especially easy to do against guys that religiously follow the "foot on outside of theirs" advice because the moment they get lead foot dominance the immediately throw their right hand without thinking because they were taught that that's how you land the right hand on a southpaw.

Should I even spar them as often as I do ? Should I go against people my level ? Should I vs pros and keep sparing until I get better ? Help plzzz I’m slowly losing confidence in boxing :(
