🕛 TODAY'S MEAL 🕛 Tori-no-ichi is an annual traditional festival held at shrines and temples nationwide in Japan on three separate days in November to wish for good luck and prosperity in business. Food stalls are also a big part of the action! Let's Get Some!

Boy they have a lot of festivals. Everything looks so yummy, you're making me hungry. Those decorations are very pretty. I hear the crows in the background, I love listening to them. I usually have lots of butter and sour cream on my potatoes.

What a nice little visit at a Japanese food festival. Everything looked so well prepared and wholesome, and the vendors seemed very happy to be there celebrating. Eric chose some delicious foods while exploring around and one that surprised me the most was steamed potato. When Eric said that finding a baked potato at a restaurant in Japan was kind of a rarity I about fell out of my chair ! 🥔

We fell in love with hiroshima style okonomiyaki when we were in hiroshima about 5 years ago. luckily we can find decent substitutes here in melbourne australia as we have a dedicated okonomiyaki restaurant here.

@6:54 Im surprised Eric praised the Japan baked potato. Usually when he visits family restaurants, he says it's imported from Idaho, USA, but not this time! My guess is due to it's quality, it's a Hokkaido potato ...for sure!

I finally had my Sashimi and o.m.g. it had sake,hamachi,maguro,escolar, and unagi. Holy cow it was BANGIN! Their miso soup was to die for. I will have trouble going back to maki afterwards. They had takoyaki and I didn't get to try it. It is on my list for next time though. 🎉

That was a 6 for me. Mentaiko mayo on potato and the squid legs looked delicious. I might try making okonomiyaki for dinner tonight. Ach, no cabbage today so takoyaki for the win.!!!
