After living in the Philippines for over two years, I have to say that I absolutely LOVE Filipino food! This beautiful island nation offers a wide array of delectable dishes, a number of which have been influenced over time by settlers from Europe and other parts of the Far East. Join me as I take you along for an immersive tour of Filipino cuisine here in Pampanga, the "Culinary Capital of the Philippines." We'll cover several national favorites, as well as some of my own top picks at restaurants in and around Pampanga's largest city, Angeles City (located one hour north of Manila).
Though this video only scratches the surface of tasty Filipino dishes, I do hope the information presented will serve as both a useful culinary guide and a source of inspiration for those who have yet to experience the pure delight of Filipino food.

I have been to the Philippines 3 times and it is my retirement destination. As a matter of fact pork adobo was the first thing I had to eat there and is one of my favorites. The food in the Philippines is awesome and lucky for me I have found several places close to me that have great food. Can't wait till I can get back to the Philippines

I suggest either stay in northern ilocos for your retirement , good weather not too hot not too cold. Its my dream retirement location too. That or batanes islands. If you can bear their yearly category 5 storms that is. But they are known for being the kindest and safest place in the whole country.

I don't get why you're underrated. 😡 I couldn't find the right words to describe how impressive and incredibly brilliant your narration was and I gained in-depth insights from every single input you had. I'm one of your huge fan Kuya Nate! Thank you for exploring the beauty of the Philippines. Making the Philippines be recognized and acknowledged by the other countries has always been part of my dream because we undeniably have so much to offer besides the nature or scenery such as Palawan and Boracay. I've always had an interest in sharing our amazing culture and the moral values of Filipinos. I'm absolutely proud of my people because being hospitable, friendly, generous, down-to-earth, and so on and so forth are exceptional character or personal quality of a person. I'm proud to be Filipino and if I would be born again after life, nothing I could've ever wished for but to be raised and born where I came from which is the Philippines. I might sound cheesy, but all I can say we have so much diversity here. An endless and countless thank you for sharing your knowledge and experience about the another beauty of the Philippines. Maraming salamat, Nate! Take care as always!

@@natehovee It's my pleasure Kuya Nate, and replying to my comment is such an honor to me. Have you ever been to tourist spots here in the Philippines? I'd definitely more than happy if you document it also. You know what? You made me feel competitive once I have tasks that require narration. Your thoughts were all well-organized. 😭 I hope I could be someone like you as soon as possible! I've been working hard to be well-spoken and eloquent, so once I apply in the call center industry, it wouldn't difficult for me to speak confidently with articulate responses. IMO: Phil cuisine by far embodies the true meaning of Fusion cuisine, successfully incorporating various influences from China, Indonesia, India, Spanish, Japan, US, Thai and so many more.

Hi Nate! I love youre works man! If you have time or chance please visit Cordillera Region and I wish you to experience our culture, traditions, and of course our foods😋. We have less Spanish colonial past and that's why most of our culture and traditions are preserved. Best wishes for you bro and good luck for your travels

I love your channel Nate, especially with the perspective of the historical foundation of where the food comes from. Those shanhai lumpia looks amazing . As you said, "lumpialicious!" Honestly, I like your narrative and style of story telling. Thank you for living in my country. Salamat!

@@natehovee Just keep doing what you are doing and soon you'll be recognized more by our kababayans. Just for future content since you're living in Mabalacat. Try visiting the indigenous people of Pampanga, the Aetas. I'm sure you'll love to see them or Pinatubo, the sleeping volcano that caused disaster last 1991. It is just a 3 hours ride from your place. Stay safe Nate! :)

I love it when foreigners make videos about the Philippines with care and respect. Most of them get things wrong because they don't do some research but most of what you said here are common knowledge in the PH. And there were probably a couple that I didn't even know despite being a native. Great video and I hope you gain more subscribers!
