quoting from an article, Zidane later opened up on the incident in an interview with L'Equipe, saying: "He provoked me by talking about my sister Lila. I'm not proud of it, but it's part of my career. At that time, I was more fragile. He didn't insult my mother, but he did insult my sister."

yes Ronaldo fenomeno or R9 'the og ronaldo', he is before his injuries was just goat level player, unfortunately his career was ploughed with injuries, some nasty ligament tears...he is my idol player, him and zidane, my all time favorites, messi's, benzema, zlatan and even ronaldinho looked up to him when he was in his prime...he caused a revolution in football as he changed the speed of the game in the 90s.

As someone who is "two-footed" despite being primarily left-footed(lefties are infamous for being more one-footed in general), it's great to see you actually noticing a player scoring with his weaker foot. Most football noobs don't notice that, but it's a great skill to have. Nothing grinds my gears like a player at the top level screwing up a good chance because he tries to hit it awkwardly with his stronger foot no matter how easy a shot it would have been with his weaker foot!

His career as a player ended in 2006, on that headbutt red card in his 2d world cup final Btw, you should check out both of his performances against Brazil - 1998 win in final with 2 goals - 2006 win in 3/4 finals with amazing skills, some say his best match ever

~23:50 ye, you might have already watched the footballer with the best first touch. Certainly with a very great first touch in addition to many other attributes making them an all around legend. But others, including Zinedane Zidane, worth a shout are: Dennis Bergkamp, Dimitar Berbatov, Lionel Messi, Ronaldo Gaucho, Marcelo Viera, Diego Maradona(good for juggles you like{"aerials"})...Neymar Jr. That's a good list.

the story behind the headbutt? well, in 2006 FIFA world cup final, France was opposed to Italy and were very likely to win it even if the score didn't show it. Materrazzi, an Italian defender infamous for being pretty dirty (he was nicknamed the butcher) in acts and in speech, had hold Zidane by his shirt on one action and as they were moving away, Zidane had told him to not be in a hurry, he could have his shirt at the end of the match (As many player exchange shirt after a match). Materrazzi then answered with something about Zidane sister that provoked the reaction... interesting fact about this: at the time, neither the field nor the line referee had seen what happened and the rules didn't allow for a review on video. The foul was only signaled after the replay was played on big screen. They justified the ruling by saying the 4th referee had seen the foul. It was a technicality that was a major factor in the debate to adopt the video refereeing for some things happening on the field, but not everything... sadly, using video to call out the false fouls is not a thing, most prominent example imho

The story behind the headbutt is not as cut and dry as it may seem. Just before the incident Materazzi was grabbing Zidane by his shirt in an attempt to neutralize him. Zidane sarcastically told him that if he liked his shirt that much, he would give it to him after the match. This angered the Italian who then insulted Zidane's one of his female family members (some say his mother, others his sister), and got headbutted in the chest in response. Materazzi made a meal out of it but the red card was obviously deserved. But the thing is that Zidane had been kicked by Italian players all over the pitch for more than 100 minutes (remember, it was extra-time) and the referee wasn't up to the task. Many fouls against him weren't sanctioned. If you add the pressure and tension of a game like a WC final, plus the fact that it was Zidane's last international game, you can understand why he snapped. It ultimately cost France the match and a second WC (at the time). For all his talent and trophies, Zidane always had a nasty streak in him. He was know to be short tempered and never took well any dirty play aimed at him. It wasn't his first headbutt and he received 14 red cards in his career, a record for an attacking player. Still, one of my favourite playmakers and an all-time great with a first touch to die for and uncanny ability to deliver in big games. The peak of his career was 1997-2004, with a last burst at the WC 2006. Best first touch? Tough call. On the top my head: Maradona, Bergkamp, Zidane, Berbatov, Messi and Mahrez.

18:42 This is not exactly correct, you are correct digital technology has improved hugely in 20 years but, The reason for the low quality is actually because of early digitising of the images, likely shortly after broadcast in the 00's (and the 90's footage likely would have been digitised in the 00's) Old Skool film cameras from about the 70's onwards are STILL actually better than most of todays best digital cameras The TV's were low resolution, but Broadcast Camera's in the 90's and 00's were exceptional quality. This is partly why 4k and higher versions of films from as far back as the 60s can be done and have been done for years ...no AI, because the film quality and cameras were so good. its the conversion from analog (old skool film etc) to digital (modern circuit board/chips set computer based technology) in the 00's It was really bad, and this is why footage from the 80's and 90's can actually sometimes look better than the 00's footage, if its converted from film Today and maybe in the last 10 years , but any time before that and the conversion was ass. The very best Camera we could make today would be an old style film analog camera, its just the cost of making digital stuff is now so low, and the quality has now gotten really good, that Digital stuff is good enough that it still looks great (same with digital audio as well btw) Digital is not better quality...its cheaper and can still be a very good quality. Digital screens are for sure better, but that is more about LED advancements than digital processing, that would have happened with analog set ups eventually regardless of digital

The reason for the headbutt is that the other player (Materazzi) disrespected Zidane's sister during the game, as far as i know. He's originally from Algeria, played for France (double nationality), family is very important in their culture. Unfortunately, this resulted France losing and disqualifying from the World Cup against Italy. That was i think Zidane's last game of his career.

He played for FC Cannes in France earlier in he's career, after he played for Bordeaux France. Top moments in he's career was in Juventus in Series A Italie, after he played for Real Madrid. The story behind the head he gave Materazzi: Materazzi provoked him during the match, he told Materazzi that he would give him his jersey after the match, Materazzi replied that he preferred to have his sister or his mother, then Zidane headbutted him . Zidane was the most elegant player in history, the most elegant, he had a finesse.

In one of your videos you were talking about not getting that " whoa " feeling anymore, after watching so many videos of the same players ( and I understand you, you already expect that from them ) If you want to still be amazed by weird good stuff, you have to check, Zlatan Ibrahimovic One of the most unique footballers, ever And to see how tall he is, and still being that fast, agile with plenty of skill You can check his "famous 30-yard bicycle kick vs England" The one against England is the most insane goal I've ever seen The way he looks at the goal before, gets ready and thinks " I'm going to do this ", and the perfect aim.. It's insane. ( and like you said in this video, it's hard to track a high ball and hit it perfectly xD ) kzfaq.info/get/bejne/rcuGnLKBzM7bYas.html And his "ICONIC IBRAHIMOVIC Solo Goal | Ajax - NAC Breda (22-08-2004) | Goal" kzfaq.info/get/bejne/p5iHprl5x6qbqps.html A compilation from 8 years ago kzfaq.info/get/bejne/otRjaNR91c6vZH0.html And you also have one more recent ( 5 months ago )

ABOUT HEADBUTT, it was 2006 world cup final and france v italy, italies defender marco matarattzi was pulling zidane's shirt and zidane said 'if you want the shirt so bad, you can have it later after the game', marco then said something abusive about zidan's sister and zidane couldn't let it go slide... my man head butt him real hard...the game was few minutes to the end and to the penalties so he maybe have thought it wont effect the team much if he gets red card now

In brief, the headbutt is an accumulation, he always had quite a temper and lost control many times during his career, and everyone hated the french coach back then who was incompetent and outraging for any french football fan, so he didn't realy thinked twice before doing it as he would'v been happy no matter the result, France win the world cup without him ? fine, France loose and Domenech won't be able to brag for the rest of his life how HE won a world cup as a coach ? Even more fine. I don't think he wished to loose that game, but he didn't wanted to win as hard than he did 8 years before either, so he just didn't hesitated and did it.

My favourite type of goal involves taking 3 or more defenders and then finishing with a back heel or something else creative, lool very rare to see it in the Pro's, when you do its usually a monster player, for me dribbling solo runs that result in goals are probably the hardest level of difficulty and you have to get many things right ,not just 1 thing, obviously you can increase the craziness of the finish for garnish, but beating 3+ players and carrying the ball 20meters+ (60+ ft)against pro level defences...that is VERY tough.. People do it against their mate in a park and think they could do it against Van Dijk or something Listen kids, no matter how good at dribbling you are , you will come across defenders that you cannot skin, and when you play at higher levels...there are a lot more of them LMAO, that's why Maradona was Maradona, and Messi is Messi lool and its also why the fact that Zidane beats pros ...without pace really, makes it wild in his case (also see, Riquelme, Bergkamp, Berbatov, Le Tissier to name a few)
@korganrocks3995
@korganrocks3995 4 ай бұрын
The inverse is also true; at amateur level dribbling your defender and getting an unobstructed shot from the edge of the penalty area is about 1000 times more likely to result in a goal than expecting your striker to actually connect with a header/volley and get it on target! 😄 There are also solo runs that look impressive, but don't actually involve a lot of skill, like Son's goal of the season from a few years back where he basically ran from the edge of his own penalty area and scored basically unopposed because the other team's defensive midfielder inexplicably decided he was too tired to actually defend the midfield... Still required Son to be fast as hell and beat the keeper, but there were plenty of more skillful goals scored that season.
