It's an illusion due to the angle between the camera (my iPhone) and the watch. These don't really have misaligned chapter rings. Much tighter tolerances, and both the dial and ring are metal, and the ring is keyed to the dial, not the case. This is different than the later 7002 / SKX et al setup where it's a plastic chapter ring with one plastic tab on the bottom that is keyed to a hole in the case.
