why offer tobacco? just curious

@@tristenalexander814 yes but why tobacco? is there some particular symbolism? Or just he likes it? (Which is fine of course, im just curious) was it a native thing?

@@2008rmartin A little late, but it is a native thing. It is universal among First Nations tribes for Tobacco to be a sacred plant with a lot of significance. Tobacco opens the pathway to the spiritual world. It is gifted to elders and used in many ceremonies, in prayer, and rituals. In this video, tobacco is offered as thanks to Mother Earth for the harvest. Keep in mind, this is traditional tobacco, not commercial tobacco found in cigarettes.
