Put a nicol system in. Use waterless permanent liquid coolant it needs flushing and the filter will remove all static electricity. Ther will never be and rust or corossion, your water pump will last at least an a75,000 miles extra and the motor will run about 20- 25 degress cooler. Sligjt in crease in mpg, less stress on oil.you can get it for about 100 bills. Nice job and great video.

@@gus91343 I'm curious to know what pistons you are using. That seems to be my biggest challenge at the moment. Most of the stock 200 stuff out there is cast aluminum, and the only Hypereutectic stuff I have found so far has a larger pistons compression height, and wrist pin offset.

@gus91343 7 жыл бұрын
Hey Joe- thanks for the comments. The muffler is an unknown brand but it mimics a magnaflow-style muffler. It's an oval shaped turbo muffler with a perforated internal tube surrounded by (I'm guessing) fiberglass. I had a flowmaster style muffler before, and while it sounded great, was just too much for street driving. BTW, you can still get an alloy head. VintageInlines.com bought the rights to these and I understand that they are available again. I'll see what I can do about a drive by video.

My friend, K&N air filters are bad junk. Also, the buffeting of the air under the hood will screw up the air metering of the fuel injection system. Look on later Fox body Mustangs who the air is taken from a quiet place in the fender. This makes air metering accurate and it isolates the intake noise.

The block does not exactly mate up with V8 bells. The lower 4 bolts line up but the uppers don't- the bell had to be machined a bit to get the bolts to line up. @Aeternalis Armentarius I have the SSBC front disc conversion and stock small/narrow convertible drums in the rear. I replaced the front pads with Hawk HPS and it stops a bit better now. New 8" rear end this year will be getting disc also...gonna try EBC Yellow Stuff all the way around. I've read that they are ridiculously sticky.

Nice one mate. 1 thing u don't have any extinguishers. You don't want to stand there and watch your baby burn. Seen it happen. Have you had any experience with the Ford Barra motor. Designed and built in Australia. 4.0 l 4 valves per cylinder, twin over head cams , straight 6 and comes in a turbo model 2. I heard that a lot of people are trying to track 1 down. They stopped making them in 2016 I think. They are a extremely tough and powerful donk. Turbo models can make 1200 hp. I have 1 in my xr6 Ford. I'm planning to go with a large turbo

Appreciate the comment- I for sure have an extinguisher. Over here you need one if you want to take your car to the track, so it's there, just haven't had a chance to make a new video. As for the Barra, absolutely have heard of it. Rare as hens teeth over here, so I have to make do with what I have!

Seriously though you can buy a brand new 182 barra motor for 4 thought dollars. I'm thinking about buying a few new ones and keep them until they are ready scarce

Try Vintage Inlines- they allegedly bought the castings from Classic Inlines (which is the head I have) after they went out of business.

Do you have a link to that video? Most i have seen is about 220hp at the crank on a NA motor similar to mine. With a turbo i did a bit over 310 hp at the crank.

There was a guy selling them on Ebay- he would make them out of a couple of 260 V8 badges. The guy's ebay ID is tnguy624...perhaps you could message him and see if he'd make you a set.
