Decided to dig out the old machine my mom used at the cottage its turns out to be a ford deluxe but it is only one colour not 2 tone. Glad to see it fmq's. Lol and will see heavy fabric. Amazing little machine.

Beautiful! My son found one in his shed when he moved, then it sat in my house for 15 years. Finally dusted it off, oiled it up, and it runs smooth as ever. The belt looks a little loose, and occasionally slips. Where would a person get a new belt for this machine?

I just inherited my Grandmother's Ford Deluxe sewing machine with original table. It had been sitting in my mother's basement for 20 years until I noticed and asked to have it. I'm glad to see such a good video made on how to use these old machines, especially by people so obviously passionate about the craft! Tell me, do you think this machine could handle leather? By the lack of problems it had with such thick denim I would assume so but figured I'd ask just in case. Thanks for the outstanding video!

I don't own a Ford Deluxe, but I do own a very heavy duty vintage Kenmore sewing machine. I think most of all of these older models can handle most any type of fabric that you feed it.

I recently found a late ‘60 or early ‘70s Brother machine. The working parts look very similar to your “Ford” unit. The only presser foot that came with mine was the single stitch one. How can I find a zigzag foot that may fit?

I have the same one. The tread is cutting off so bad (the top one). Changed a needle, changed a tread. Ugh 🤦🏼‍♀️
