I have one that says American Home Deluxe Syncro Matic but it looks a lot like this. She sews like a dream. There was a reciept in the book that says the purchase date was 1954

Hello I love your videos, I love vintage machines ever since I was a little boy, I learned how to sew in middle school and never forgot it. My first vintage was a Necchi from 1959 and I loved it but had to sell it, Now I just bought a Empress deluxe model 1953 post war Japanese made, I'm guessing a Singer clone, It's a beauty, has a beautiful dark forest green color and yummy chrome all over it with a lovely gold badge awesome. My question is do you know where I can find a manual for it? Again thank you for your vids keep them coming. Johnny

The machine was in a cabinet. I have the hinges and screws still on the back if the machine.

I like your machine . I have same machine but Igot it without manual book and it keeps Brookings needle I really don't know what's kind and number needles I should use with it .I appreciate your response?

Hello and thank you ,I recently came across a kingston deluxe precision sewing machine teal I believe it would be caled in a table of similar color looks in great shape 99.00 is that a decent price ? & is it strong enought to sew denim rubber and leather .?? Thanks again

Hi! My mom passed away recently and had an old Kingston sewing machine. When we opened it up there was a belt attached that was broken. Do you know what belt this machne needs..? Or where to find a belt for it..? It looked like the belt wrapped around the big round circle part on the far right side somehow..? We are trying to see if it will work or if it needs a belt..thanks!!

Hi Frankie, sorry to hear about your mom. It's awesome that you have her machine, though. What a nice way to remember her. The Kingston is a really nice machine, certainly worthy of fixing up. I'll assume that the belt you are asking about is the motor belt that goes around the motor and the hand wheel. If the one on the machine is made of stretchy rubber, it's a universal belt that you can find at any sewing machine dealer. Take the old one with you as there are a couple different sizes. If it's a composition belt that's hard with sharp corners on it you can take it to the sewing machine dealer, too, and they can probably match it up with a new one that will fit your machine. StagecoachRoad Sewing Thanks. The thing is I am 99% sure the belt with it was not even intended for a sewing machine. There was a pack of 2 vaccuum cleaner belts and only one left in the packet, in one of the drawers of the machine. The belt that was "on" the machine was broken, looked snapped, and it also looked exactly like the vaccuum belt..I am betting poor mother just tried a vaccuum belt..*sigh* It sounds like this might be quite the goose chase, as there is not even an owners manual. She got the Kingston from her father and I never remember seeing a manual for it. Perhaps they have a website or something, not having much luck via Google...thanks, at least I have some what of a starting point on where to look or what to expect/ask..
