Would definitely like more info about this. The trailer wheels seem to be locked up, despite that car not having a trailer brake controller. Was this a hitch failure? Was this over capacity for this car? I’ve seen wrecks with trailers and this seems much worse than I’d expect

it's an inertia brake, the hitch telescopes in when the car brakes and that activates the trailer brakes. This is the only style of trailer you see in Europe, I'm not even sure electric brakes are legal, I've never seen them if they are.
