Great vid exactly what I needed thank you. Strangely I have a 2013 2.0 TDCI MK4 but it has the fuel filter in this place. Not at the back underneath the car, nor at the back of the engine bay. I wonder if this is because it was near the end of the MK4 and the engines were changed at this time?

They decided to swap to 2.0 hdi engines as they are more reliable.

Thanks for this video, it solved a problem I had. I could not figure out how to remove the white fuel line clips. So from what I can see on the video, you gently pop up the middle retainer and then PUSH down on the body of the retainer, to remove the pipe, is this correct, or do you squeeze in the sides? Thanks

Yes that’s correct J C, you’re just pressing down on the outer part of the clip, glad to help!

Hello there. If I remove the first pipe you removed and then start the engine, can I drain some diesel that way?

If it’s the feed from the tank then yes that would work. If the car has a pre-delivery pump in the fuel tank then it will push fuel through without cranking the engine.

Yes it shows you engine service warning but after couple minutes while engine is running everything comes back to nornal

Good but a bit shaky. Try placing camera on a mount or get someone to hold it steady.

Thanks for the feedback Nas. These service videos are a bit difficult because they’re in my friends garage so I have no choice but to film alone. If you take a look at some of my other recent videos removing bumpers etc they’re done with another person. I agree about the mount though, I get told that all the time!
