We had to modify the depth of our FlareSpace Flare Trim Ring to get the perfect fit between the flare and the plywood wall panels. Not sure if anyone with flares had this issue, but you can see how it all turned out here!

Very clean! A lot of work but worth it!

Thanks for this! Its nice seeing the transit trim rings before I order them. Their install video shows a sprinter install and the trim ring for the sprinter sits flush with the vans internal sheet metal. I was wondering how deep the transit trim rings were to bridge the gap from the sheet metal to the back of the finished panel. The transit panel sits 8 inches or so off the sheet metal so this makes more sense now. The Flare space video had me confused about that gap. looks great without the fasteners showing.

This looks very clean. I'm going to (shamelessly) copy your brilliant solutions. Question: Why didn't you add 1/8 foam (landau) behind the fabric on the trim ring? I can't tell if you're using it elsewhere. Thx

Copy away! We love paying it forward! We didn't add foam to the trim ring for two reasons: 1) didn't want to add any extra "bulk" to the ring when adding USB ports and fitting between the wall panel and flare, and 2) it has such a nice smooth surface it really didn't need it. When we finally install our bed system, the mattress will be custom cut to sit in the flare, so the bottom of the trim ring will be covered (thus why we have the seam line on the bottom of the ring). We did line the flare with a thicker 1/4 inch landau foam to add some "insulation", but the rest of the van in 1/8 inch foam on all ceiling and wall panels. We also added 1/8 inch foam around the top of the sliding door and C pillar and around the back door pillars to also give it a smooth finish before wrapping with fabric. The only place I didn't add foam was on the foam trim rings for the windows (came with AVC Rig Kit), and the pillars behind the front and passenger seats (I believe these are the B pillars). For these, I just glued the fabric directly to the metal.

great information, thank you, however the loud obnoxious music between what you say is off-putting.
