I started to have the same problem doing concentration curls, which likely exaggerated the bad shoulder posture. While a short break might fix the immediate pain, I think that the posture exercises will help over the longer term.

What weight you on? Sometimes your tendons aren't as ready for the overload as your muscles. Hit some forearms curls for a few weeks and see if that helps.

I have been doing 500-700 bicep curls with 15lb dumbbells for about a year and keep feeling more frequent tingling on my thumb tips and index fingertips that does not completely go away. Can high repetition dumbbell curls cause tingling in the thumbs and index fingers similar to carpal tunnel? How can I exercise my biceps and arms and not cause these symptoms? How can I reverse the symptoms?

I am experiencing pain while releasing dumble or bar. The pains starts from ulnar side and travels to elbow. It does not pain while lifting but only when putting the weights down and releasing the grip. Please let know if anyone else ever felt this

I hope you would see this comment, i have been having pain in the forearm when doing standard bicep curls. The pain is in where my tendon connects to my hand (the underside of the hand) it feels like something is slipping or it is about to detach.(I have never experienced tearin) Idk what to do i havent been able to do standard bicep curl without fear of it tearing or something. I hope you could help me find the underlying cause or other exercise variant that avoids pain but still targetting the same muscles. (I can do hammer curl without pain)

Thanks all. I have a pain when doing incline presses and also lifting my arm over my head. I feel a pain and pressure keeping me from lifting through the motion as in an incline press or lifting my arm. I’m not sure what this is. Is there any exercise or videos you can recommend to rehab this? It’s been nagging a while now. I can push through it but I shouldn’t and it doesn’t feel good when I do. It almost feels locked in place with pain. Any thoughts? No one seems to know and I can’t really afford a PT at the moment. Thanks for any help you can give.

Same thing happened to me after overloading on preacher curls. I gave my arm a rest over spring break and fixed the way I threw. If you keep your elbow above your shoulder when you throw and try not to whip your arm it won’t hurt as bad.

I was going for a new personal best on a curl machine. My old best was 175, so I upped it to 180. I heard a loud popping/cracking noise. There was no real "pain" to speak of, but for the past week I have had extremely limited strength and tightness. Do you think this is something that would require a hospital visit? I would like to think that since there was no pain during the incident, that it's hopefully just a strained muscle that will heal in time - but the fact that it's been a week has me worried. I can't even do 30 pound curls on that arm, where it used to be incredibly easy.

if you overstrecth you may risk torn a bicep torn rupture. loss of power is a sign and no pain.
