Dino, I watch this almost every morning and cry. It's my daily release. My husband died in July completely out of the blue. Just dropped dead. Then we had to put our baby pup down a month later. As a black, Nigerian born, Canadian man, I frequently get strange looks and double takes when Boston is blasting out my truck speakers at full volume while on the road. I feel no shame or embarrassment, but pride that I am free and secure enough in myself to enjoy great music as an end in itself. My musical pallet is a very wide one, but Boston holds a special place because they’re just so timeless. Way to keep the classics alive gentlemen. Well done!

As I approach 60, I have been so discouraged with younger bands (not all, but most) with growlers as lead singers and musicians with little originality. After being weened on Halford, Dio, Dickinson, Tate, Bonnet, and the like (the bands were great as well) since my mid teens, I seriously thought that my style of music would die with me. It is such a relief that this old metalhead can rest easy with the voice that you have and the various young musicians that you have put together on a number of recent videos are here to carry the torch. Thank you all!

@brandoncooke65642 жыл бұрын
@@Shaun.Sparico That's too bad that you don't see the talent that "growlers" have. I highly recommend attempting those style of vocals to appreciate what it is they do. You don't have to necessarily enjoy it yourself, but I promise you they work equally hard, if not harder, on their craft as any clean vocalist ever did. I also think that the claim of unoriginality is a farce. More things to compare it to may make it seem watered down but people are still taking music to exciting new directions. The problem is, no matter what, most people just want things to stay the same. New and different is very seldom taken in by the masses.

My only issue with the vocals, preference aside, is that the singers backing vocals on the harmonies were not sung differently enough so instead of a harmony sound I’m getting a delayed doubling sound. Not sure if they just manipulated the primary vocal or if it’s a different take but either way the mix is not great. Also it’s tough to take on a Brad Delp vocal so kudos to the singer for the effort even if his voice isn’t everyone’s cup of tea.

Yeah a goofy vibe as usuall.It’s more”important”to look in to the camera then looking at the guitar neck or somewhere else.But a nice guy and a decent guitar player but to much posing if you have seen him live.

Nice tribute. This just shows how even 45 years later how hard it is to reproduce the Boston magic.

I love how all the details of the original track - and I mean serious attention to detail - are there at the start of the track, and then by the end it has blown up into this full on unique expression of each of the players here. Whew!

Dino, Portnoy, Hoekstra for the win. Them + whoever I would pay good money to watch live. Sounds too good. Keep it up, please!
