Those who are struggling to forgive yourselves please forgive you. My mother has never forgiven herself for past mistakes. I am now her caregiver she suffered a stroke and heart failure, she's bedridden and now she wants to live. When she was able to live and walk on her own she held herself in bondage from past mistakes I know God forgave her. Y'all live repent and move on ❤️🙏🏾

Deeveria Moore wow just wow...... I am one of those who is struggling to forgive myself for the things that I’ve done. I don’t know how to. Just reading this made my heart heavy I am so sorry to hear that about your mom if you don’t mind my saying so. As a young girl I was molested and sexually abused I was introduced to pornography at the age of 4(if I remember right) and I was bullied in school from kindergarten up this is what made me afraid of people girls/women especially, people(both boys/girls) would intimidate me with their eyes and I would just crumble. I didn’t know this scripture at the time because I was terrified but it says the fear of man brings a snare but I wasn’t taught that until I got older. I’m 37 now and I still to this day struggle with SEVERE ANXIETY and depression I also suffered from narcissistic abuse and didn’t know it at the time which was another thing for me. At this time I am seeking help and going to God more because I now want to enjoy my life before Jesus comes in the rapture. I’d do anything to have the purest form of joy and to be able to enjoy my family I feel like a failure in regards to my husband and children as I want to do better for them.

I have an issue forgiving my self for the same thing... And worse i lost my kids self respect self love all while taking care of him making excuses to myself for why i couldnt leave not understanding the full magnitude of a soul tie when my daughter died cps took my kid so all i had was him out of hurt we stayed together and i turned my back on god he began to abuse me regularly but i thought i needed even the lord told me why daughter why do yu go through this and i still stayed had another child he abused me still i kept letting him come back so YU CAN FORGIVE YOURSELF GIVE IT TO GOD AND MOVE FORWARD thank yu rc blakes

This helped me! I have horrible guilt. My daughter suffered an anoxic brain injury and I didn't get to her soon enough. She is in a nursing home now with a trach and feeding tube. Paralyzed and unable to talk. It's been almost a year and I am having a hard time forgiving myself. Please pray for me to accept His forgiveness!

Bless you. You probably need a compassionate therapist. That is a trauma your struggling with dear. You did what you could to get help help. Find a therapist or even a minister if therapy is too expensive. You deserve to be forgiven!!! Your daughter still needs you. This story isn't written yet. This is so powerful. My depression stems from my fixation on my past mistakes and what I’ve been through. I’ve been feeling bad for so long, I believed I was paying for mistakes for the rest of my life and couldn’t be positive about anything or trust anyone and it’s exhausting.

God loves me so much that He brought me to this video on 02/25/23, exactly 2 years after it was posted in order to set me free from my own prison of guilt and shame. I watched 3 times holding on to hope. Finally at 2:45 am on 02/26/23, I surrendered it all. I finally accepted that God forgave me. Then I finally forgive myself. @@terencecambridge3243 Yes!!!! I am free! Others may try to bring up what I have done, but it was finished when God forgave me, I asked for forgiveness of others, and I forgave myself. The others may not have chosen to forgive me, but it was their choice. I will not walk around with guilt and shame because of it. I do have consequences for what I have done, and it is helping me to grow and mature. I am walking in the freedom of God’s and my own forgiveness because of the price Jesus paid for me.

My boyfriend feels the same way and I have old wounds and issues that I just haven’t healed from and I can’t believe I have the anger issues of my dad and the self esteem issues of having that same dad neglect me. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with either of you❤ You’re still worthy to be loved. And please never forget that your Father in heaven loves you more than you know. Ask Him to wrap His arms around you and heal your wounds❤️🩹. He most certainly will.

What can help is that there are four steps of forgiveness: unvictimizing yourself and taking yourself out of the limelight, having empathy for yourself, having compassion for yourself (yes these are separate things), and loving yourself. Loving yourself can be in the form of praying for yourself (like to feel God's love, how to forgive yourself, etc), bless yourself, take care of yourself, giving self praise whenever you do something right (as long as it's not in a prideful way), speaking self affirmations over yourself that are godly and true about yourself. I decided to bless myself and speak over myself that I am loved, that I am made in God's image, that I am valuable, and other things. And then I felt God's love. It was so amazing. If He can do it for me, He will do it for you. Just ask Him and He will change everything. Ask Him to help you recontextualize your past and see yourself the way He sees you and He will do it. Remember God doesn't see you as your sins, He sees you as His creation whom He deeply loves. Remember that If you were the only person in the world, Jesus still would've died for you to save you. You are that valuable to Him. Try reading Psalm 139 and look for Scriptures about God's love. If you are having any problems, it could be due to a soul shattering. Look up Operation Life Force and broken soul overview questions and answers discussed

I'm not closing my heart because of someone unworthy of my genuine heart. However, I still believe that there's a kind, loving gentleman out here to love me unconditionally, but I pray my heart will allow me to love someone else and not cause them great pain because I've been cut so deep. Very intelligent and wise man. I’m in a situation where I had a break up 5 months ago and I started changing I wanted to die. I felt I couldn’t get out of my past because people wouldn’t let me. I daily tried saving but watched it continuously fall through my fingers. And I reflected on my behavior how I ruined it. This was informative. I pretty much Ed locked myself in my apartment for 5 months. I think society keeps some individuals in a guilt trip. U are a good teacher

I just scrolled upon this, I’m not really religious but this still hit my soul. I made a lot of mistakes. In 2021, I made a lot of mistakes and had a lot of falling outs due to my behavior. A lot of it I don’t believe I was at fault but there are a lot of flaws I indeed made. Im trying my best to get out of a cycle of depression. I forgive myself then I’m right back in the cloudy weather. I just want to truly forgive myself and be greater.

@@ayity1985 I think of it more in the way where someone who flat out says “Sorry, I know I’m an a-hole” will say it but doesn’t try to fix it. Just because someone declares that they are crappy, doesn’t fix it. The forgiveness comes with knowing inside how sorry you really are and the intent to change for the better. A better way to put it would be that this probably doesn’t work the same way for psychopaths or people who lack empathy. 🤷🏻♀️

I haven't been able to forgive myself even got married to what you have taught me is a narcissistic male to redeem myself and nearly lost what was left of me in that marriage. Pastor RC is telling the truth. If your having to prepare for court it doesn't mean we have to keep thinking about what they did to us. Try to think about other things. Post notes on the mirrors, refrigerator and read Phillipians 4:8. I just needed to hear this is just yesterday i prayed to God about ny mistakes again. I was also a young worshiper God pregnant out of wedlock. My partner left came back got pregnant again. I did not wanten the shame so i got married to a man i know is not my soulmate. And after two years i got divorce i left cause i could not stay in the unhealty relationship anymore. The guilt a have is not normal any time i hear the word mariage or see pics or couples i just sink. I love this word. Thank you pastor fot opening up. Because i offtend think i am not perfect enough and that i am a failure.

I've learned to repent, surrender to God and then forgave myself. I had to for myself...it was such a weight lifted from God...I've done all I could to try to right my wrong with the person I hurt.... I was very remorseful. Admitted how shameful and how much guilt and regrer I had for my doing...he accepted my apology but CHOSE to NOT forgive me. My ex left me ...we have absolutely no relationship at all. I even asked him to forgive me for HIMSELF...he still chose not to forgive me. So moving forward for my life...I knew I couldn't keep wallowing in my own hurt of this. I couldn't keep letting my guilt take over...that's when I knew it's time to forgive myself...as long as I went to GOD like I did... "if he is for you who can be against you!" That weight was lifted off my heart. I wish my ex well in his life with choosing to be unforgiven.

I can relate, ruminating and negative self talk is a learned habit/behavior so we have to reverse it by practicing new healthier habits like positive affirmations and positive self-talk/meditations, etc. It takes time, effort and prayer. Give yourself grace but keep practicing. 🙏🏾🙌🏾

Some of yall's comments here are really uplifting. In a time where one truly tries to forgive themselves and let go, it helps. It's so hard. One minute you are positive then the next you feel so worthless and hopeless of life. You know you have to let it go and give yourself a chance at life, but the fears, guilt, disappointment in self, uncertainties, worthlessness and heartbreak just keeps dragging you down.
