I do miss Gon a lot as he was my favorite in T3. But to be fair, Gon was in fact just a cameo character and not a real Tekken character. He`s from an old manga.

4:06 Forest Law non-canonical? I'm not sure about that. Him being in a motorcycle accident and needing to pay the medical bills was one of Marshall's motivations in Tekken 5.

Forest is one of the main characters on Tekken 3. His story is linked with his father Marshall and friend Paul.

It was an absolute STUPID statement to make, he is absolutely a canon character, it's just that Marshall has always been more popular and thus, Forest got sidelined, just as was the case with Michelle and Alex, but I don't know why they still bring both Kuma and Panda, but don't do the same for all the rest of the swap characters, which are the majority of characters in both of these lists.

Raven was always a cool character, I hate having to pick between the two because Master Raven looks cool too, same goes for Christie, the hard thing about characters who share fighting styles is the fact that there can only be one, unless you’re a Mishima or King/Armor King😢

I feel like raven and christie could have been added in t7 as different skins for master raven and eddie. The kings and mishimas have different movesets, but i get it , christie and raven dont have enough popularity to be more than alt skins.

The Mishima’s and King’s have enough unique moves to be their own characters. But yeah they should do the same to Christie and Eddy at least since they’re both iconic characters. I think they didn’t brought back Christie because now that her grandpa is dead they don’t know how to implement her to the story

In many versions they appeared as a selectable version of the same character (like Christie - Eddy or Eddy - Tiger).

Michelle was my favourite character in Tekken 1 and 2. I always used to play her first. While I do like Julia, Michelle is just more of a better character so I would love it if Michelle returned in Tekken 8. It would be great if Jun isn't the only surprise return. In terms of forgotten characters, Michelle, Angel (for the story and unanswered questions), Alex (see what he looks like after nearly 30 years), Christie (with her own set of moves) and maybe Mokujin should return.

I never forgot Raven. He's one of my favorite characters and I absolutely hate what they did to him in T7 (replacing him with a female clone). He's much better than the clone they replaced him with.

There is still more forgotten characters like: Tiger (eddy special costume) Prototype Jack (from tekken 2) Monstrous Ogre (Final boss of tekken devil within)

Tiger and Monstrous Ogre isn't technically forgotten chars, especially Monstrous Ogre, his appearance in T5 is non-canon. Considering the whole campaign of Devil Within.

@@gerardhart9052Gon is not a Tekken character, he was a guest character originating from a manga, and he is believed to be the main cause why we have never gotten a digital re-release of T3, because they would have to come to an agreement with the people holding the rights to it or completely removing it from the game's code.

I don't think any of these mentioned characters are technically forgotten; they're just not around in the latest game. As long as characters that came after them exist, they'll never be forgotten.

Mokujin only wakes up when there is evil entity that can destroy the world.. Tekken 3 (The Ogre), Tekken 5 (Jinpachi being Possessed) and Tekken 6 (Azazel).. For Mokujin, the Mishima/Kazama Fued worth nothing.

Technically, Gon was a guest character, he was the titular character in his own manga before Tekken. It'd be like including Noctis, Negan, or Geese in a list when Tekken 9 comes out.

@@joshualedesmasegoviaIt seems Bruce does have a demand but this started after Tekken 8 was revealed more adamantly. So this gives him more chance as DLC but this is just my opinion based on trends.

panda and kuma have different movesets in T8. The only thing that restricts how many slots are in a fighting game is just a production decision. They could make as many characters as they liked. They are not limited by disc size anymore. Just by how much time and money they want to sink into production.

I mean the fighting game scene now is more made for e-sport than full offline play so it’s not chocking that randomize character like Mokujin or Olcadan for Soulcalibur are gone but yeah that was fun adds

@@KahnettanI just made this point under another comment here. Ban these characters for arcade mode and tournament but these should be available at least for home mode or VS mode. If the characters break the game then definitely ban them for tournamnet or evenonline play unless players are willing to play with these characters. A vast majority of people play the game not for competition but for having fun with friends and family.

Fun Fact: Even tho Michelle Chang is a single step-mom for Julia, she's 100% virgin. This women's purity is still remain by canon standarts XD (Except for non-canon dojishin, but that's a different story) About Master Raven's episode, some would believe that M. Raven are canon, than Dragunov's. Need to remember that it's still unknown if Master Raven ever met Dragunov. Let's remember few interested canon Tekken 8 facts - that Xiaoyu never met Claudio, she's successfuly entered MZ, and got out of there unnoticed. Hwoarang's episode is half-canon, his eye is fine, and wasn't damaged at all. Yup, his eye-patch in Tekken 7 is for show. I think it's somewhere was official statment from Harada-san, he wears eye-patch for show. And Paul never met Feng Wei. So, whatever Master Raven met Dragunov, or not, it is yet to be revealed. Fun Fact: If you look at Lili's Tekken 5 prologue, you'll see Forest Law. The "Accident" that Marshall Law always mentioned, was caused by Lili. So yeah. She fought Forest Law, that about to enter the tournament, but got severly beaten by Lili, so she took the invitation, for entering the tournament herself. And now, Forest was in a hospital during Tekken 5 storyline. Mokujin however, have an interesting position for appearence. It says that he will only appear, when the world will be in danger. So, Mokujin is the last world's defence, in case, the world of Tekken, where all living being, is about to be destroyed. So yeah, if humanity fails, then Mokujin is their last hope. Tekken 3 was True Ogre, and it's logical. Tekken 4 was about tournament and a family of Mishima's, no threat to the world. Tekken 5 was Jinpachi, if no one defeats him, then humanity will cease to exist. Tekken 6 was Azazel, kinda related for Jin's actions. Since it was his doing. Tekken 7 was about between Kaz and Heihachi, no threat to the world. Since Tekken 8 are going about Devil Kazuya, and it's probably where Mokujin will appear?

Well everyone hated the eye patch look for Hwoarang so that’s not surprising that they took it back and confirmed that it was « for show » But yeah if there’s something that I want to change for T8 is the substories of side characters. I mean they were pretty irrelevant in T7… The Nina’s Wedding outfit is just another exemple

I think that it was a great idea for them to write a lot of these characters out of the story. Do we really need 2 Bruce Lee knock-offs? And we definitely didn't need T-Tex & kangaroo; now if they'd only get rid of the bears🎮
