I'm still playing it, one of the greatest games on the PS2, and it still needs a remake!! Zhai was just coooool :D!!!

remember playing this game and thinking "So awesome to be fighting beside my hero..." Then I gained control. I almost didn't know what to do... I admit it's just a game, but being handed the reins to a legend of his relative caliber... It felt like being handed The One Ring... So much power... and I knew without a doubt that I must not fail... and I didn't.

You can't imagine how badly I want to see a live-action film centered around Drizzt Do'urden.

The most badass hero in D&D. Yes Sir!
@Ragitsu6 жыл бұрын
Drizzt may have been emulated countless times, but he, the original oddball Good-aligned drow, deserves the silver screen.
@Zyemeth05 жыл бұрын
I'd rather it be a CGI movie or animated. I don't think live action could do some of those scenes justice without looking corny as hell.
@Ragitsu4 жыл бұрын
@@Zyemeth0 A two-dimensional animated film with a budget and attention to detail on par with "Akira (1988)" that is centered around Drizzt Do'urden would be phenomenal.

The ending suck ass though, the slaad lord was kind of dissapointing, the fight is too east and doesn't even have music it feels so anticlimatic but the rest of the game is pretty fun and the music is on point all the time. This was my very first ps2 game, it was a rare bundle that came with the console

Whenever I hear this, I imagine a Holy Champion of Torm (a Specialty Priest from the AD&D 2e _Faiths & Avatars_ book) steadily striding to battle.

This game, such a significant part of my childhood, also the reason I developed a love for rogues and elves, especially roguish elves (thanks Zhai and Drizzt), also formed a part of why I came to love fantasy settings like the Forgotten Realms, been playing Baldur's Gate 3 these days and suddenly got the urge to hear this game's sick soundtrack again lol.

This song is what made me buy the actual game, and playing Drizzt's stage while it was playing in the backround made it all the more sweeter. An absolute masterpiece.

I also fell in love with the first few moments of the game when this song played. In order of importance for me for a game is: music, gameplay, characters, story and last is graphics. You can have crappy graphics but still have a good game. If the characters are interesting within the story, story can take a sidestep, but if it hasn't got fun game mechanics. To hell with all the rest... and WHO wants to play through a game (no matter how good) with CRAP music!!!!

@Saruki02389 Not exactly out of the traditional sense, but quite inside it. The kind of game you describe easely suits god of war, Devil May Cry, Onimusha, and many others, forming a quite common and famous game style. (Also great!) They do have their stories, they're kinda cool and well made, but the exception here is Kingdom Hearts. KHs series are masterpieces among character depht, and they have a different gameplay out of the traditional sense. This is why KH is my favourite game among all.

If they ever do make a Drizzt movie (Dreamworks has had the contract for the last 15years and have done nothing with it) then they should hire whoever made the music for this game. I wonder what he would use for Shimmergloom...
@Cryogenius3337 жыл бұрын
LEETCaptinKuro 5 years too late, but they made a movie back in the 80s and it was baaad. probably why the studio never picked it up again...once they tabk bad enough on a movie concept, they never touch it again.
