Good stuff! I heard two things that I think could be off though. One was about grip lock that Paul U talks about. Outside of throwing softly, if the timing and form is good you can't grip lock because the moment of max acceleration / power happens so abruptly that the disc rips out. So it's a timing issue and / or some rounding that happened messing up the timing of that moment where the disc rips out. It's helped me work on my form to question what went wrong elsewhere any time I feel like I grip locked on a drive. Second is you mentioned pronating your wrist causing the finger to hook on for longer. It's funny because the opposite motion (supination / turning the key) feels like it helps my grip. If you try to pull the disc out of your and you you pronate hard or supinate hard you can feel that when supinating the motion is causing the fingers to dig into the rim harder whereas pronation the fingers feel like they are being pulled off of the rim. But pronation is easier to get a more extreme tilt on the disc so maybe it's easier to get to a weird position where the disc doesn't want to spin out and then it feels like it snags the finger, so maybe both are true.

Thanks for your lengthy responses. Firstly, I did a lot of work during the start of Covid, and I had mostly fixed the rounding issue. It was gone for a while but I’ve noticed it comes back sometimes so I’m definitely going to be working on that. Secondly, because of years of ultimate the way I grip most discs of actually from my fingers under the rim while the thumb is just there for stability. I got so used to over gripping on discs because I couldn’t really hold onto them like an Ultrastar. Now, if my middle finger catches just a touch too much rim on the release it will kick it out slightly nose up.

You aren't bracing against the ground very well, your plant foot is super soft and you're spinning a lot to generate velocity. Considerably more consequential than wrist placement. I'm happy to provide some correcting feedback if you'd like.

Thanks for the tips. My form is somewhat fluid and I can’t fix everything all at once. I know my brace could use some work but first thing first is try to keep from air bouncing every huzer.

@@brookarnold97 You will likely find that when you sequence properly and use the brace to initiate the upper body, the arm and wrist issues vanish immediately. Without proper sequencing, you will never arrive at perfection by incrementally making changes in your upper body mechanics.

If you watch all my form work videos, footwork is definitely being worked on, it’s just not the focus of this video

Pretty solid form honestly. What would you change about it?

It’s solid but not good enough for what I want. I have a super inconsistent hyzer release so I need to practice those throws to improve
