The palestinian muslim-christian association in 1918 rejected jewish immigrants. There will always be groups fighting for full palestinian independence. In 1948 after Israel declared independence, Jordan army crossed the Jordan river into Judea & Samaria (known as the west bank by MSM) and east Jerusalem. The Jordan army killed or drove away the Jewish people. The Jordan army then destroyed Jewish property or took it over. Jordan then encouraged Jordanian settlement in the occupied land. Jewish property not destroyed became occupied by Jordanians. After the Israeli victory in 1967 and Jordanian disillusionment with their expansion effort (1988), Jordan revoked the Jordanian citizenship of "palestinians" in Judea & Samaria (known as the west bank by MSM) and east Jerusalem. For the most part "palestinians" are leftover Jordanian colonist (Gaza residents more closely tied to Egypt). The homeland of the majority of "palestinians" is Jordan.

Actually if he were "schooled" in law & diplomacy, he'd have likely learned more of the 'art' of sophistry & equivocation. Even Shakespeare wrote (jokingly?) "Let’s kill all the lawyers." English majors aren't deficient in critical thinking, on the contrary. As Hamlet's mother says to the pompous Polonius, Lord Chamberlain of court, "More matter with less art."

It’s difficult to understand how seemingly good intentioned people like Daniel Levy end up on the wrong side of the Israel-Palestine debate only to find the truth later in life. Refreshing to listen to a Jewish Israeli who speaks sense, that Daniel was actually present during “peace” discussions makes it all the more impactful, he now knows very well these were only masquerading as peace discussions for some of the powerful voices within Israeli government circles.
