I hope mims does well I hope he makes the team I was Greenbean on my views of mims I think we didn’t do him right he was not properly utilized he has his part in it as well.. but I thought we failed him not playing him towards his strengths jump balls in the red zone deep routes…how many games did he have 2 rec 62 yards and we never throw to him again

Oh wait, it took me a few, Mims the WR that never worked out. I think he suffered from thinking he was better than he was, he hasn't made it with other teams, so he's a footnote. I hope he makes it somewhere.

Yeah I don't think he was anything other than a problem child to most of us. Maybe 1/10 were captivated by his potential and stayed loyal to it but the rest of us were watching with our eyes open and he couldn't even make the field. That 2019 team was Toxic. Keep every player in that locker room that left far far away!

Prime example of why team>sport fans, stat-watchers, ESPN-watchers, Madden-players, along with every other type of casual should be legally banned from publicly discussing sports😂 He was BY FAR the best receiver on the team his rookie year and has a near-identical skillset to Mike Williams. But ignorant casuals like yourself think he’s trash because you don’t understand the fact that production is the result of scheme-fit, roster-fit, and coaching MUCH more than talent

Contrast Denzel Mims first 2 years in the NFL with Garret Wilson's first 2 years. That tells you all you need to know. Both men have great God-given talent. One man is hard-working, focused and determined. The other is not. I also was pleased when the Jets drafted Denzel Mims. I thought, "Finally, the Jets get a break, and a talented player falls to them." Unfortunately, for whatever reason, his great physical talent did not translate to production on the playing field. I, too, wish him nothing but the best as he attempts to find a spot on the Jaguars roster.

The Saleh regime destroyed his confidence by trying to make him learn rocket science. He's a WR, just let him play WR like Gase (of all people) did. I wish Mims the best moving forward, and I hope Saleh lets his weapons ball out this year without complicating things.

@justinwalker2928 Nah, Becton couldn't stop eating. But as a coach, you have to learn how to work with a player's talents. Sometimes, that means to allow him to do what he does best and keep it simple. I like Saleh, but at times, I feel like pride gets in the way with this staff.

Genetics are not a talent. His talent is taking bad penalties and avoiding learning anything in years. Stephen Hill 2.0. 70% of 1st round WR picks are busts, he is just one of non-first rounder busts.
