We don't bake enough anymore. You can get an amazing amount of food out of a bag of flour and some eggs, good quarantine idea :)

It's because we are conditioned to grab cheap shit at grocery store chains, thinking that's normal. Then we end up consuming and consuming and consuming, thinking how smart we are to pay little and get many. Then you realize, why not buy smaller portions but with much higher quality, pay the same amount and consume less. I don't need to consume three bags of peta in two weeks for the same price; instead, I can buy a higher quality sourdough from an artisan, consume less, eat healthier and lose weight in process too. I got into a cycle of buying cheaper thinking I'm doing myself a favor for a few years (8 - 10). Then gradually buying much higher quality food but consuming less, and I'm actually more fulfilled and satisfied.

I'm a similar body shape (but a bit shorter, under 100lbs) and I eat sour dough bread at most meals, otherwise rice or potatoes. In fact, I'm about to go make some cheesy scrambled egg on sour dough buttered toast for breakfast

10 dollars each???

Worth it. Sourdough is so much better (and so much more work) then store bought bread

If you think of the expenses you would incur of suffering from Autoimmune diseases or cancer after years of consuming "fake" food, then 10 dollars aint expensive! Also the yeast and gluten in conventional baked goods are killing us slowly! Don't even get me started on conventional sugar... This lady is a cancer survivor and is doing something good for not only herself but for those who appreciate "real" food! Sourdough bread is the only bread that doesn't hurt my gut and the bonus is it tastes great! We don't frown to support the killer fastfood outlets in our communities... Love from Sunny South Africa🙏😇

@@narrimanduplessis7334 well yes, but I have quality artisan bakeries near me that take way less.
