The fact that Jimmy was present at Rosalynn’s memorials when he’s practically ready to knock on death’s door himself is a testament to just how devoted they were to each other and to their work for so many years!

What a beautiful example of "until death do us part"! Its is so amazing how devoted the President and the First Lady y were to each other and how well they worked together to uplift humanity. I believe God granted them long lives because of the special work they did and I pray that the President continues to live his life in peace and without pain until he meets his First Lady in heaven.

The fact that he has lived so long and fallen to this day and became needy and turned into a zombie is his revenge as a result of his actions and his betrayal of his best friend and the king of Iran, Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, who even spends his Christmas holidays mostly traveling to Iran. He was spending time with his friend, Mohammad Reza Shah, but he betrayed Iran, the people of Iran, the Middle East, and even Europe by supporting Khomeini and the clerics of the Stone Age with barbaric ideas, and he set the Middle East on fire with the change of the treasonous government in Iran. It was a start for terrorists in the region and even in Europe, now the curse of a nation is behind it, a nation that was destroyed by the actions of this person.

I'm sure his Family is a comfort to him at this time. My Mother once told me she considers herself to be "Immortal". She says we "We are immortalized by our children. A piece of us lives on through them." Having children of my own now, I understand what she means with that statement. Rest in Peace Rosalynn.

@@carolsmith3161 I don't automatically assume ill or negative intent. He's been isolated for quite awhile because he wanted people to remember him as he was. If those are his wishes than good on the family. In this case, I think some of it was the Sun was so bright and he couldn't see because of it. Those with very pale skin and light eyes have that issue with bright Sun.

While I understand that he was once a public figure and still loved by millions, the press could have taken a snapshot of him arriving and not kept the cameras rolling - they could have shown a little more respect. I am sure none of us would like to be filmed when we are not at our best. May God comfort him in his time of grief! GREAT job by the family blocking their view.

Aging is part of life. Death is part of life. He was once the most powerful man in the world. Time waits for nobody. Death is waiting now. Never think you'll live forever. Never think you'll be as sharp as you were when younger. We face an uphill battle against a myriad of diseases and both medical and cognitive conditions. In the end we can't win anymore. From dust you once came, and to dust you shall return. Rest peacefully Mrs. Carter. God bless you president Carter.

I was too young to know anything about his presidency, but from my older friends' mouths, he was a kind president with compassion for the less fortunate Americans and new Immigrants. Because of this compassion, he lost his bid for his 2nd term to Reagan.

@@seanlee7563It was not because of his compassionate nature that he lost his bid for a second term. It was because, although he was a moral and kind , likeable man, he was a very weak leader both in domestic and foreign affairs. I voted for him myself, but not for a second term.

However, it is his right to be at his wife's funeral. This is nowhere close to negligence nor abuse. I give kudos for the family getting him out for what may be his last time outdoors for even a brief period, and with his whole family.

My buddy and I attended a Sunday lesson from Mr Carter in Plains, Georgia when Mr Carter was 84. The three of us are lifelong teachers and I got my photograph taken with Mr and Mrs Carter afterwards. It's on my office wall. Rest in peace and rise in glory Rosalynn.

Such a selfless gesture from a man who's worth was based on how much he did for others. Jimmy Carter has the heart of a servant. So did Rosalynn. We will never see the likes of these two gracious, humble people again. I dont believe anyone with their decency and dedication to do the right thing will ever walk the halls of government again. They not only talked the talk they walked the walk as they followed the teachings of Jesus as best they could. They had a love that will last for eternity. How wonderful it would be if all people experienced that kind of love. Scripture says God greeted Rosalynn with "Well Done Good and Faithful Servant." My guess is HE will soon say that to President Carter. God Bless President Carter and Rosalynn. My sincere condolances to the Carter family at the loss of a great humanitarian and their wife, mother and grandmother. ❤❤🙏

Same. Such a humanitarian. I was a child when he was elected. Having a daughter that was just a few years younger than I, he was the first president that I was truly aware of. I used to wonder what it was like for Amy to live in the White House. The Carters truly lived a life of service. I love him and Rosalynn also. They are both very humble people. I went to 2 different book signings by President Carter and as he signed our books he spoke to each of us, so we each had a few minutes with him. I saw his most blue, beautiful & kind eyes. I will never forget him. The eyes are the windows of our souls and I saw incredible kindness and humility. Rosalynn must have been the same as they showed each other true love. ❤
