I was in glen mills myself and can tell you that the stories are true. I was pushed punched slammed against a wall because another young man from Michigan went on home visit and didn’t return and I knew nothing about it. But the staff insisted I did and interrogated me for hrs and physically abused me because I didn’t know anything and didn’t have anything to tell them. To think the campus was a beautiful place you couldn’t even imagine you would have to be in some sort of trouble to be there. Sexual misconduct as well as verbal mental and physical abuse was the norm. A lot of the if physical abuse not to just myself but out of the about 110 ppl in my dorm for my 20months being there I’ve seen at least 40 different ppl besides myself get beaten.

I was thrown into multiple walls we had to sleep on wooden chairs in the morning I’ll barely ever got to speak to my parents.

I did a year there 96-97 Van Buran hall everyday this went down! Being forced to run cross country the staff would kick us when we didn’t push hard. I watched a kid from Utah get beat so bad by 4 counselors while sitting in townhouse a few of us kids scream out to the others to “ stop watching, everyone don’t look” we all were shook with trauma after that beating.

Lincoln Hall 94-96 Coward's beat on us on the regular. Beat me so bad they had to cancel a vacation from my mom in michigan to cover up what they did

I was in Hayes hall from 2003 to 2005 our leader was the black guy with a big belly his name is ken and the glasses he punched me in my face another staff member name Matt who was a redhead white guy it was pretty stocky set on me it had his knee on my neck area I will scream at inspect all in my face multiple times

Okay fellows. Let not forget that NOT ALL STAFF MEMBERS WAS BAD. I was in Fillmore Hall 98 to 99. Most called it chillmore hall. Lol. We had some of the best counselors there. But we still had some staff members that got their hard on by beating the hell out of us. For the smallest thing like not remembering a staff member name from another unit. I witnessed a kid get stomp and beat while we set in town hall for hours. Pm staff and am staff. Their was no talking. Straight beat down. And that was one incident. There was tons of beatings. But again there was also some pretty cool staff members there. So let not overshadow the good they did. I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for them
