thanks for taking your time to explain the EQ when I want to practice cover guitar with the original track, I just push the 3.2k or 4kHz so I can hear myself with the original track, I think that Im too used with it, its also present in deathmetal

Another thing that affects your tone and how to use eq parameters is which cab IR you’re using or which real-world speaker cab/microphone you use. Call SB sidewalk in this part of the signal chain. This is not a Messy Booger Mark IV 5-band eq.

Most of the eq are I the middle, except for the absolute low and high frequencies…😮

In line6 pod go i use this eq to: low cut at 100hz 282hz, 500hz, 658hz, 3.8khz reduced by -3.0db high cut 4.0khz The tone is smooth. Pls try it and give me some suggestions/advice. We all are learning.

Anybody else feel a little bamboozled that he doesn’t mention the master EQ until 16:45 into the video? I get his explanation for why, but that would have been nice to know upfront.

100% - I must have completely spaced on it. I think when Mel and I were chatting I mentioned it there, and mixed it up with our conversation for the video (you’re watching half of a conversation from a zoom call) I’ll try to do better next time!
