Get back on the bike with Riders Share: www.riders-share.com/welcome/...
45’s personal battle against planned obsolescence continues when his back throws up a 404 on his seasonal migration up north. Thankfully, Lianne’s got his back (literally) with some stretches for the long haul.
Grab a F9 Neck Gaiter before 45 sweats through all the inventory: frt9.co/n0a3m0
FortNine Premium Leather Keywrap here: frt9.co/lipteu
Any Motorcycle Gear You Need: frt9.co/aeu0mn

Part 1 of the Series : • Motorcycle Fitness Ep....
Special thanks to Lianne for keeping 45 alive! Check out her website at: liannextraining.com
Remember, all reps, weights and exercises in this video were prescribed to 45 specifically, based on an initial assessment by a kinesiologist. Find a trainer near you for the same info, then grab some heavy objects and some tie downs, and get to work. Don’t get scrapped!

I am in my 20s and really wanted a GS1250, but couldn’t put out the money for one so I ended up finding a deal on a VFR1200X instead. Us young GS simps might be rare, but we are out there, and a majority of them are probably admirers like me who want one but just can’t afford one. 100% old man at heart, LOL.

Physical therapy here! I can confirm the figure "4" stretch at the beginning is to stretch the piriformis muscle which is the #1 reason people get sciatic nerve pain, people who ride regularly are significantly more likely to develop sciatica so this is legit! Start slow and light. The goal is to aim for the final pose while feeling the stretch. Not the actual pose. Consistency is key. Within a week, youll find that getting on the bike is no longer an excersize. You may not be able to get tho the final pose, but you will find that your daily activities ane not as difficult as they once were.

Honestly, I needed this reminder. Even though I don't have a motorcycle of my own, many of these are way better to do while sitting as a desk jockey or even after a day of presenting material to new audiences instead of spending break time sitting at a desk. I would hazard to say that many of these are needed for most of us, as we get stiff and mechanized, living so much of our lives in ADA compliant buildings, going up and down the same stairs at home, etc. etc. We rarely use our full range of motion, and so we can be trapped by our own stiffness, and inflexibility, staying in our reduced comfort zone, either due to preconceived notions and mental limitations, or a real regression in how we can move.

Having had a long day on the bike yesterday, this is kind of handy. Except that it doesn't really solve the main problem I have, which is that my knees lock up when I don't move them for an hour at a time, and that I can't stretch them in place without slowing down (not happening!) or forcing them against high speed airflow. I know that the best way of doing things is to avoid riding around the M25 and make sure I've got plenty of time to stop and stretch and still arrive on time, but that's not always feasible. I have, however, found that flexing and stretching my back and shoulders while riding works fairly well to avoid being locked into position. Of course, the best way of taking care of your knees as a biker is not to drop a heavy bike on them.

There is an idea for you: can you create a 2-3 page pdf that people can download or print, and take with them on the trip? The video is great and I’m glad I watched it. But next time I’m doing a multi-day trip through terrain with little or no phone coverage, I won’t be able to watch this. A quick cheat-sheet to remind me the exercises from this and the previous video would be just awesome to have in my saddle bag.
