Though he has reactivity, it’s just a glow effect and his shadow touch was already a wrap that most people already have, for free. He also doesn’t have a backbling, all for a price of 1,500. In my opinion, I think that item shops have gotten too big. I stopped playing for three chapters and just started again after playing chapter 2 and the item shops make it so that you can't have that feeling of waiting for one skin to come back because the item shop barely ever rotates and it feels like it's the same things every day because it is

The value of a fortnite skin is whatever it is worth to you. If you don't want a skin it is essentially worth nothing and the value epic assigns to it is essentially arbitrary. It doesn't cost epic anything to sell infinite copies of a skin

I just do my daily's and the vbucks missions in save the world. I only buy skins if i really like them and the battlepass. I havent spent money on vbucks or the battlepass since before the marshmallow concert happend. If you count me paying for save the world back in the day then i might have spent like 30€ on fortnite.

30 bucks for 3 skins 3 back blings and 3 pick axes when during fortnitemares last year they reassessed the high stakes bundle for only 20 with the same as the guardians plus 4 edit styles for each and raps for all of them to see them go from that to 30 for no extra style and no raps and a extra ten is crazy.

I agree that fortnite skins are a little too expensive, but at the very least fortnite offers more bang for your buck in most cases. Think of the battlepass: priced at 950. Earns them a ton and players get an extra 550 if they complete it. Most games aren't that generous. They could be much meaner and price it at 1200 or even 1500.

You forgot about the rarity, uncommon skins are 800, rare skins are 1200, epic skins are 1500, and legendary skins are 2000, which explains why midas was so expensive. Although I do agree with your points on the 2 skins that didn't come with anything

I agree cosmetics In general are too expensive in any game for what they are which is just virtual pixels. I have just come back to Fortnite after playing apex legends and if you think cosmetics are expensive in Fortnite I suggest never getting anything from apex as your £30 pound price for cosmetics is going to shoot up to £80, I’m not joking.

Whenever a cool skin that i like and i think is worth then i buy it with accutal money Just the fn crew and starter pack are litteraly like 3k vbucks. 1k+600 vbucks from fn crew and starter pack, and then the battle adds like another 1.5k or whatever. i never brought abundle over 18 bucks

I spent $60 total on Fortnite, getting the Deluxe Founder's Pack and nothing else since. It's not even that I care about the "durr free v-bucks!!" I just wanted to buy a game that looked fun, knowing it was a one time purchase and didn't know that it gave V-Bucks. Regardless of if I'm a Founder or not, I would never spend money on cosmetics, especially ones as expensive as Fortnite's.

Yes I absolutely agree that the item shop is too overpriced nowadays. Unfortunately it all started with the start of chapter 5 and the release of the other game modes. I still can't believe how expensive instruments, jam tracks and cars are. Like they should be that expensive, I remember back when the most expensive single item was like 2000 vbucks for a legendary skin and now they had the audacity to release a car at 3500 like what the hell are we buying? a real Lamborghini? and now they've went ahead and removed rarities altogether so they can't be called out when they overprice something. With the amount of content and cosmetics that they are releasing every week or every other week, I don't understand how they couldn't still generate viable revenue by pricing them a little more fairly.

personally i don't mind skin prices we've had skins for 1,200 vbucks with no backbling, no extra benefits before (snorkel ops) and no one complained then some skins though do feel a like an absolute ripoff sometimes though so i understand what i think is way too expensive is the lego sets you spend up to 2000+ vbucks for things to build in a gamemode not many play currently compared to br i also think some of the rocket racing items are a bit underpriced, but i also think they are overpriced too one such issue i will point out is that the decals don't work on other cars there are lots of things that need addressing but i think the community has gotten to use to 1,200 skins having backblings and other chaos along with it that when we get a simple skin its "overpriced" tl;dr i think the community is overreacting about skins, but is 100% justified about being angry and the lego is way too expensive

pricing on cosmetics itself isnt much of an issue but some items arent that great for that they are being charged for. the larger issue is the price of vbucks. ive burned a lot of money since september 2018 on this game. i think closer to $2500 give or take at the time of typing this. prices during all of the chapter 1 was a bit high so a few might be indecisive on what item to buy. when chapter 2 season 3 rolled around and saw all the price cuts they did around the beginning of apple vs epic, there wasnt much of an argument besides just an opinion as vbucks were cheaper and starter packs and other packs were a lot more appealing. when they bumped the price up by about 12% last year, thats when TO ME the issues of the cosmetics were being talked about a lot more. its like i would really need to actually like the cosmetic enough for me to justify it. it also doesnt help how much the concept cosmetics would get major changes. like i get if theres a lot of work involved in it but some concepts come out way different in their final form and not in a good way. like why set it to a higher rarity if its been heavily cut down lol some items i will still buy if i like them and a lot of people will still by them even if they got changed a lot. thats just me tho. i do agree with what it said in the video but i just feel like thats just part of the problem.
