This is the best review I have watched of this game, with out the normal "Xbox bad" tax that other reviewers have been doing. Comprehensive, cultured and actually a real overview of the actual game. The things that are missing are for me not that important, I love the racing and that's the most important thing for me for a while.

Personally I'm glad that the racing itself has improved significantly. To me, that's the single most important thing and is what will ultimately keep me playing for years to come. So while it does lack in some areas, I'm glad to hear that fine tuning makes big changes and the racing will be solid. Otherwise, great video. I honestly think you are a bit underrated and deserve more subs in future.

Not a fan of games being a foundation. If I were buying a house, I wouldn't be happy if all I got was a cement foundation, and was told the rest of the build was coming later. This kind of comes off more like a minimum viable product

Thanks for the review! Im still a bit on the fence hearing about the physics, especially hearing some complaints from other reviewers about too much FM DNA in racing wheel physics. Probably going to activate some gamepass for a few months to test the waters and see how well the multiplayer lasts over time. Been a gran turismo fan for years but cant stomache a PS5 for just one game (most sony IPs i enjoyed are long gone). If anything, Beamng is the thing still keeping me sane in the world of racing games, especially with their career mode in development. Probably won't mind the FM progression system, as long as at least basic suspension tuning is unlockable early on for each car. I can stomache racing a car without fancy modifications, but being unable to tune a car would get annoying over time, glad to hear the options feel like they do more than previous entries, too. I'll be keeping a close eye on how much toe and caster actually make a difference.

So let me get this right.... this game has been in development the longest in the series and offers less than every other Motorsport besides the first??? Now it makes sense that the leveling mechanics are the way they are. You would burn through the game in a day or so if it worked like the other forza games.

So there's no leaderboards then? WTF! Will still be playing it, for a while, but still annoyed there's no leaderboards.

What did you want more then racing and in the menus?

They will improve the game. Of this I have no doubt, I just hope they don't trickle the content in so they can make the game go on forever. 20 tracks is very light in a racing game. They are missing some staples of the franchise and as we know, variety is the spice of life. The driving itself is better and that is of the utmost importance. Doesn't matter how many bells and whistles they ad if the driving itself can't hold you in. I mean, GT7 has great driving but the game sucks. I still play it though because it's fun to race in. I don't really play multiplayer so the single player is the focus for me and GT7 is lacking there. In fact I would call it absolutely terrible. Forza could have tried to integrate more of a story into it's single player without making it too linear but I for one don't really know how to tell them to do that. I don't want some glorified EA game with some corney story but just having 5 races at a time or however many is in each (I've only completed one) isn't overly immersive. Just feels like rinse and repeat. I am having fun with it though and that to me is the most important part. I haven't explored much beyond the first few races in single player so I have more to look at before making a full on decision about how I feel about the game and for god sakes, please please please get some new tracks in as quickly as possible. I am going through withdrawls not having Road Atlanta and Mount Panorama.

No race cars in career mode makes this game a non-starter for me. I had hoped that a game with “Motorsport” in the title would be more focused on race cars and the long history of motorsports as well as different types of race cars, from open wheel to sports cars and prototypes. I have no interest in racing road cars on racetracks-been there, done that.

I've never played a racing game that feels as good as this, cars just feel so good to drive and upgrade, the cars sound perfect, the graphics are amazing. That being said, the game feels incomplete, it feels like half of the game is missing. Less tracks than ever, no player profile, rare rewards, no drag or drift modes, and a decent, but somewhat lacking car roster. I know alot of this will be added in over time, I just hate this modern trend of game developers giving us halfway completed games at full price and spoon feeding in content over time. I'm sure 4 years from this Forza will be filled with new content and features, but right now outside of the core gameplay it feels like a downgrade. It's the bare minimum to lay a foundation so they can give us tracks and cars we already had back at a later date. In summary, I've played about every Sim racer or arcade Sim there is, this one has hit a home run in driving experience for le atleast, but the content feels lacking compared to previous Forza titles.

Need Forza Speed

Drivings good. The progression system is a joke and will push alot of the player base away. They have to adress it

6 years…………..for this………..Jackal and Hyde visuals….recycled car models….pointless Ray Tracing (corporate dick waving)…pretty serious graphical glitches…simply not good ENOUGH. New foundation means in this case not finished…”Hey everyone buy our new game and watch us finish it with patches and updates” It should be the definitive racing title NOW not when they have repaired it ! It left the showroom broken and already needs an over haul. Very much another example of how games are effectively being Beta tested by the consumer. And we all lap it up (excuse the pun) like the lemmings that we are…I asked for a refund but M$ refused it.

What accent is this?

If racing in FM8 is the best you had in gaming, you are surely new to gaming.
