DALLMYD I have an idea on how you can find the owner. On your video at 3:09 you can see the number on the woman's boat. Contact Ginnie Springs and give them the date of the recording and the boat number and they should be able to put you in contact with the person or people involved. They should have records of everyone that has rented anything from them..

If the Kayak was a rental, maybe the company nearby would have the details of all people on the water that date/time? Could help narrow it down!

Here's an idea. If you have a camera like this and you're about to take it on a risky adventure how about recording a short video of who you are and how to contact you in case you lose it and someone else finds it. Or is that too easy that no one thinks about doing it?

Whether it be a go pro or a digital still camera, the very first photo you should take and never delete is a picture of your contact info on a piece of paper in case it’s lost.

Right at 5:09 the kayak on the right , it’s bow bumps the “GoPro kayak”. Right at that point you could zoom in on the serial number on it. It is just behind a lanyard or something. Then call the rental company

With the whole website for finding lost valuables, be careful if you get any requests to dive into the Ohio River, please don't. That thing is toxic as heck and I'd prefer you just treat that river like a void and preserve your health.

I live in Juneau Alaska and we have this lake there people always drop phones in every time I've been there someone has dropped there phone if you came down it would be a jackpot for treasure 👌🏻

Is there any metadata on the videos by any chance? if you right click the video > properties > details, there should be "owner" information in there if the guy took the time to set it up.

Go on Instagram and search the location of the river or maybe the company that rents out the kayaks if that’s the case and scroll back to around the date of when the GoPro was lost and see if you can find the selfie the girl took at like 5:15 or so. May take a while though.

Lake wabamun is pretty shallow all around actually. I bet there would be quite a few items around the docks in the town, provincial park and just at the mouth of half moon bay.

We have a lake in Oklahoma called lake draper.. it's known for a lot of people dumping bodies there.. would be interesting to see someone dive there. I'm not sure they allow diving.. but this got me wondering what all is there.

I tried going treasure hunting in the Mississippi for the first time today with my friends. It is cool to know your taking trash from the river, and still getting some stuff to use yourself. I really enjoy it, and i recommend it to anybody who hasn't done it.

Try to pick up sponsors with the Gear you already use. Companies love supporting customers that already use their equipment and want to keep using them. Your dive suit, dive knife, cameras, Sunglasses, hell the computer mouse and keyboard. I've heard many other KZfaqr's suggest to do the same!

I lost a GoPro while out on the boat at the Poor Knights Islands here in New Zealand, I've tried looking for it everytime we go out there for a dive but I think it's gone forever 😢 in saying that, you should definitely come check it out, it's an incredibly spot especially in summer!
