My theory is the Idea or Evil created the god hand all at once (Void being the sage and the other 4 being his followers). The 4 elemental kings were the ones who killed the previous 4 god hand members except void which is where the confusion of how many angels comes from. This forced the idea of evil to rebuild the god hand over 1000 years and manipulated people to weaken the ties to the 4 kings. This is why Griffith since his reincarnation has been destroying the spirit trees

I like this theory more than Skull Knight killing the rest of the four, as awesome and pure HYPE as that sounds. I had thought the four kings were present then, and when Void sacrificed and brough the godhand or 5 angels that's when the confusion started to emerge. Like amidst the chaos the particulars got muddied as eye witness testiomony. But yours makes more sense. On another thought, for now, that village from Flora's arc holds some power and connection to the old spirits as it, daiba, and Jill are quite literally the only bastion of good will towards the four kings other than our party. Kushans might have some esoteric link remaining that's the reason Griffith wants to go EAST.

I think they will be the ones to defeat the other members of the 'God Hand' while granting Guts an opportunity to challenge Griffith/Femto.

Void seems to be the fifth angel, the “fallen” one who isnt a fan of humanity, i think there was a disagreement between him and the other four about destroying the kingdom, so he created his own followers which became the “god hand”

Something I just thought of. Humanity and the material world seems to hold a *great* amount of power over the astral world, which would explain why the God Hand and Four Kings are in a sort of struggle. The God Hand are almost like an outside force come to wrestle control from the Four Kings.

Did the Four kings battle the Godhand and destroy the four original members pictured with Void after the fall of King Gaiseric's empire, leaving Void to escape and rebuild the order? Was this the reason the portal to the abyss was opened in Gaiseric's memory for the Idea of Evil to be summoned to counter the Four kings power? Will the Four King's destroy the Godhand along with Falconia for good this time around? Will the Idea of Evil intervene?

Like was said in video, it's really hard to tell for 100%, that those other four members were a God Hand. they could be, I think that they were. But could they be indeed those four Elemental Kings? I think that they could. I would say that first Lady on the right could be an Earth King, second might be a Fire, then Void, then Water and then Wind? Anyway, Void is the one that could be a part of either of those two groups. To be honest, I would say that Void could be a member of those two groups at the same time. We could see many times how Miura was fascinated by others titles. Star Wars for example, as the simplest example. What if Miura decided that there was a traitor among those five Elemental Kings? What if one of those guys would be able to use a Behelit for example? I doubt that it will be this way, since I believe that Void and SK shares a similar past to that one of Gut's and Griffith's. But who knows. From what I heard, there was a possible duel between Guts and Skull Knight, since the latter wanted to destroy a Moon boy. Not sure if it was either Mori or Miura himself who abandoned that idea. But anyway, it was planned that some of new pannels will be focused on SK. And I think that it will end this way in near future.

All the deeper lore in Berserk is heavily implied at best, we haven't even given full confirmation that skull knight is king gaiseric. I doubt we gonna know a ton about the 4 kings

GUTS as "The Struggler" & "Black Swordsman" is one of the progenitors of the modern EdgeLord Anti-Hero & oversized weapon wielder. BERSERK is one of the best fictional stories ever written.

Evil on the left and good on the right (or Vice versa), those who are messengers and harbingers of evil (Void, Slan, Femto, Conrad, and Ubik) and of good (the Four Kings plus 1?) make up the balance of the universe

@@3redstreeter256 who knows. Maybe Gaiseric was supposed to be the 5th King, but lost his place due do becoming corrupt. And they had to wait for another suitable candidate in the form of Guts, which will have to make the choice between giving in to his darkest instincts or keeping control.

Of the main characters in proximity to guts, farnese has the most human capital she can sacrifice and the most magical power to gain which is why I think she could get the behelit

The idea of evil is similar to a "demiurge". the god hand serve this "false" god created by the humans of berserk. The 4 elemental kings serve the true god and "creator" of the berserk story. Berserk has always been very "meta". Guts is the protagonist that exists outside of femto/griffith story because he's the avatar/prophet for the true god of berserk (Miura?) Who will be "rewarded" for not giving in to his weakness like Griffith?

Didnt the spirits on Elfhelm told him to activate it? And I think Guts needs much more Beehlits to powerup his sword. Skull Knights used a lot of them.

My theory is that those 4 were from void's previous attempt at the same plan he's doing now and those are the previous 4 other godhand members that skull Knight somehow defeated but couldn't stop void. Hence on this try the difference is that skull Knight is involved from the start rather than as a human 1000 years ago.

@10:28 if these 4 behind Void are the elemental kings they could be from left to right: The King of the North the ruler of Air elementals, The King of the West the ruler of the Water spirits, The King of the East the ruler of the Salamanders and the blazing fires, and The King/Queen of the South the ruler of the Earth.

Perhaps Void didn't start evil. Perhaps Geisich was the first true apostle (explaining his knowledge of the behelits), being first taught the existe by Void when they were both human. Void likely being imprisoned for preventing the first ritual to become an apostle. Knowing no other way to stop him, he used a behelit of his own to become the first Godhand. Afterwhich he summoned the Four Kings to overthrow the fallen empire. King Geisrich, after seeing his error and watching Void fall further into the ideology of The Idea of Evil started the Holy See to begin cutting the material world off from the Aetherial planes, preventing Void from conquering the world altogether, unwittingly (or otherwise through belief the kings are also evil), cutting off the Four Kings as well, who also turned against Void upon realizing his goals. Void then having no choice but to form a new host for the return of evil to the physical world, leading to the Godhand, or the Harbingers of Evil (greed, war, lust, famine, and conquest/Pestilence, essentially his Four Horsemen). The Holy See also likely grew corrupted and overzealous, further diminishing the physical world's knowledge of magic and The Four Kings, now referring to them as angels rather than Elemental Kings, with Void being essentially Lucifer, the fallen angel. This is true this also makes me think just like Griffith was helped by evil maybe guts will be helped by good/4 kings of the world idk but if this tru and if there is a 5th I hope guts is the lost 5th one of anger/void/wraith just as femto is the the 5th god hand

Void is that in which the four elements subsist and are beheld as such--by the void that is the human consciousness, and on top of that: a tortured consciousness. It may be that the four other godhands apart from void are representations of the four elemental kings; images of them molded by the tortured human consciousness in its own image in which it recognizes its own being-for-self.

I believe the previous god hand are actually the angels, the mage who is considered to be the 5th angel is actually void who was the mage. It would be ironic that the Holy seas believes on angels who are actually demons

Wait wasn’t the world sacrificed in its current state at some time so could the god hand be them but having been tainted and corrupted threw the centuries since. Be kinda crazy to find that time is a loop and this is all part of the cycles to keep the madness moving.

2 of the Godhand already had that idea. But because the god of casuality already determined his fate as sacrificial food for demon kind (the brand of sacrifice). He is already has a fate for him and can't ascend or be used as a sacrifice in any other way. Every person's life is determined by fate, including anyone to become part of the godhand. Griffith already claimed him as one during the eclipse. He can't be used for any other purpose. Guts is fated to the abyss (hell) because any association with demons even as a victim sends you there. That's what makes the death of band of the hawk even more tragic. They are all damned regardless of morality. Even if you are a pure at heart, you'd still end up in the endless pit of suffering. Griffith at this point is using any death from humans (all the spirits he pretends to give a happy ending infront of ppl) to feed the abyss. He's stealing the souls after pretending to allow them to pass on. And that's what makes the series unforgiving. The fact we are first introduced to the afterlife as controlled/dominated by demonic gods is the terrifying revelation.
