@@WavyFBaby the cops can't just send them to jail, they have to wait for the judge to let them. They can arrest those squatters a million times but unless the judge sentences them to prison, the cops has to let them go. Who knows, the legal system probably gave the squatters another slap on the wrist and set them free again, there's been plenty of cases where judges would set homeless people who throws their literal faeces at people in public free without any sort of punishment. Laws in the US states are becoming so weak against criminals that it's almost inviting you to be one, bonus if you're black since they can't be bad people or else it's racist.

@Belltown Daisy If America wasn't equitable people wouldn't be in this position? lol. The US is the most fair and impartial country in the world. I take it you haven't traveled much? People should squat in houses that have been vacant for years? What gives you or anyone else the right to move in to someone else's property? Even a vacant house has an owner. It belongs to someone.
@HeyKayVA
@HeyKayVA 4 жыл бұрын
@Belltown Daisy I don't think they should otherwise everyone should, and what worth would those houses have or what would the point of paying rent or a mortgage. People have to work to buy homes, or to build them, or to even lease them, why the hell should someone get a free pass? America is as equitable as it gets as far as housing goes, if you don't work for it, you won't get it. Plain and simple. Some people that means sacrificing their time and energy to go to school to get a higher paying job, or work many jobs, or live in a multiple generational home, but that's what people have to do. Someone people don't get that luxury to work for what they want, but that's not America. Some people in America are either lazy or inacapable. It happens. There will always be disparities no matter where you go, that doesn't mean society should eat the cost for the few who don't or can't.

During his presidency, Donald Trump made several significant signatures in terms of policy and executive actions. Here are some of the notable ones: Enforcing Federal Law with Respect to Transnational Criminal Organizations and Preventing International Trafficking (February 9, 2017): This executive order aimed to enhance the enforcement of federal laws against transnational criminal organizations, including those involved in human trafficking, and preventing international trafficking networks. Minimizing the Economic Burden of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (January 20, 2017): This executive order sought to provide regulatory relief to states, individuals, healthcare providers, and insurers by directing executive departments and agencies to minimize the economic burden of the Affordable Care Act, pending its eventual repeal. Expediting Environmental Reviews and Approvals for High-Priority Infrastructure Projects (January 24, 2017): This order aimed to expedite the environmental review and approval process for infrastructure projects, with a focus on those deemed high-priority, such as transportation, water resources, and energy projects. Border Security and Immigration Enforcement Improvements (January 25, 2017): This executive order aimed to enhance border security and immigration enforcement by directing the construction of a physical wall along the U.S.-Mexico border, increasing resources for immigration enforcement agencies, and prioritizing the removal of undocumented immigrants who pose a threat to public safety. Enhancing Public Safety in the Interior of the United States (January 25, 2017): This order aimed to increase the enforcement of immigration laws within the United States by directing federal agencies to prioritize the removal of undocumented immigrants who have committed crimes, expanded the categories of individuals subject to removal, and sought to restrict federal funding for sanctuary cities. Ethics Commitments by Executive Branch Appointees (January 28, 2017): This order imposed ethics commitments and restrictions on executive branch appointees, including a five-year ban on lobbying and a lifetime ban on lobbying for foreign governments. Reducing Regulation and Controlling Regulatory Costs (January 30, 2017): This executive order aimed to control the costs associated with federal regulations by directing federal agencies to identify two regulations for repeal for every new regulation proposed. It also set an annual cap on the incremental cost of new regulations. Core Principles for Regulating the United States Financial System (February 3, 2017): This order established a set of core principles for regulating the U.S. financial system, with the goal of promoting economic growth, protecting consumers, and preventing taxpayer-funded bailouts. Task Force on Crime Reduction and Public Safety (February 9, 2017): This order directed the Attorney General to establish a task force focused on reducing crime, combating illegal immigration, and improving public safety. Preventing Violence Against Federal, State, Tribal, and Local Law Enforcement Officers (February 9, 2017): This executive order aimed to provide enhanced protection and support for law enforcement officers by directing the federal government to coordinate efforts to prevent violence against them and prosecute those who commit such acts.

The reason is that this lady at somepoint rented the home from the owner. Their lease ended and they refused to leave. In some states there are laws, not criminal but civil, that says someone cannot be removed from their home as it is their residence. This situation seems to me to be exactly that, why the attorney was present. Its not breaking and entering, not burglary of a habitation or trespassing. This is a civil issue and they needed to go to court. The reason she went tp jail was more than likely the stealing of electricity or how she put it her blessing.

Why are we like this. I’m not talking to squatting because now all of us squats, but however, being a person from Detroit when we are upset, I don’t care how hood we are. We become so proper in our speech. I didn’t realize how bad it was now living in another part of the United States, where the dialect are very strong to one. I went back to Detroit because well I’m used to a Midwestern accent. When we are hanging out as family and we are having fun with each other that Midwestern accent comes through, but when we are in, serious conversation, upset, or need to get a point across we become so proper and we start to speak through our nasal passages and I just find it amazing.

I love the irony. Trumpers would cum in their pants over him saying "the system is broken" more or less and basically admitting that he profits from it, avoids taxes, engages in all kinds of shady and barely legal shit. So the takeaway is that if you get stupid rich from your crimes, you can brag about it, but if you barely subsist off your crimes, a newsman will show up to make fun of you, and you'll actually get arrested.
@charleshines8523
@charleshines8523 Жыл бұрын
Stealing electricity would be theft of utilities and services. Then if they hooked it up poorly it can potentially endanger her, the real home owner and possibly the neighbors. The hazards are perfectly clear in every way, risk of electrocution with a high probability of death or substandard wiring ANYWHERE posing a fire hazard. Those are 100% perfectly good cause to call a building inspector and maybe even the Fire Marshal. Since it is criminal in nature you are 100% clear to try to catch the squatter saying it on tape or other recording medium saying they either did it on their own or hired someone. That is presumably someone who is not licensed for such work anymore due to inspectors revoking or suspending their license for past shoddy (and dangerous) work. Normally in most cases you need consent to get a recording but NOT if there is a belief that a crime is committed or would be committed.

That is, make the easiest, safest, surest, best way to shelter or any goods or services is the legal and right way ONLY or else you will lose much, much more than you had or could have before you even started thinking criminal in ANY way, shape or form - is the idea behind the law(s) and government only.

@@Ghost-KW184 Where, when, why and how did you conduct your rental property? If you just invest and forget, are an absentee landlord, and/or slumlord, . . . i.e., sheer mismanagement; unrealistic business plan, inaccurate predictions of true market value caused the failure mostly - not Detroit as a rental market, imho. UNLESS your properties were taken over by squatters. Squatters and private property rights as we know these are NOT compatible, divide civilized from uncivilized, may as much being a major cause of impending (civil, if we're lucky) war or worse.

This never gets old. We cleared out a house on the west side a few weeks ago. The trick is to get in and move them out in 15 minutes. One time we had the police show up but they were mortified by the muscle we had so they left.

Karen Winston Mutilating your genitals over a mental illness does not change ones chromosomes. Once a Male, always a male, even if you castrate yourself. That is a fact, and not open for debate. Unless you believe that grade school level biology is somehow incorrect. Tell me, if a schizophrenic claimed to be the second coming of Jesus Christ, would you call him/her "My Lord?" No, you wouldn't, because that would be reinforcing his/her delusions, and that is wrong, even dangerous. They'd need medication and therapy to help them back to a normal thought process. So why is it that when people are born believing that they are of the wrong sex, or in the wrong body that we all have to support that delusion, and even go as far as letting them mutilate themselves so they feel better? They need therapy and medication to stop the delusional thought process, not surgery to remove their genitals, and hormones to trick their body. Look, being born believing you are in the wrong body is a HORRIFIC thing to live with. Mental Illness is a many headed monster, and I wouldn't wish that level of pain and confusion on anyone, even my worst enemies. But regardless of it being Gender Dysphoria, Body Dysmorphia, Schizophrenia, Bipolar, etc, we need to call it what it is, mental illness. And stop this barbaric practice of "surgery" which is essentially genital mutilation. It's an unpopular opinion, I know, but as someone who struggled for years with auditory and visual hallucinations due to my own mental illness, I'd have never made it to where I am now had everyone around me just supported my delusions and let them continue unchecked. Not saying you have to agree with me, but at least try to consider a different point of view.
