I used to be a flight attendant and people used to have issues all of the time. Personally, there were times where I would take an anti-diarrhea pill in the morning though I didn't need it as a just-in-case. I remember upon take off a passenger put her hand on her stomach, jumped out of her seat and ran to the lavatory and she was in there for a long time. Another incident upon arriving in Chicago, the gate agent said to us "you guys are lucky you weren't on the last flight, a hazmat crew came on three times, fully suited and took out a row of seats and replaced the carpeting in aisle.

Well imagine being that poor person. They probably have a medical issue and are mortified with embarrassment. Lots of things can cause that: Colitis, colon cancer, and other colon issues. Air travel is increasingly stressful, and who knows what could have set this off... anything from anxiety to something s/he ate before boarding, maybe an intestinal issue that chose to manifest itself that moment, who knows. Frankly, this should not even be reported in the news.

I have uncontrollable explosive diarrhea from GI disease and I feel TERRIBLE for the passenger that got sick and everyone on the plane. I have bathroom emergencies all the time where I barely make it. Sometimes I don’t get there in time. I know she/he feels terrible for making a bio mess and inconveniencing everyone on the plane. I surely would.

Diarrhea is a side effect of many Cancer treatments also. My Mom dealt with it before her passing and it mortified her. She barely left the house because she was afraid of an unfortunate situation like this.

I feel sorry for the person that this happened to, as something similar happened to me once. I was a substitute teacher at school and thank God it was after the last period day, I made it to the men’s room. And then the diarrhea floodgates open. and got some of it on myself. I waa able to cover it up with my jacket wrapped around my waist and went straight to my car, and drove home. Cleaning up the car, when I got home. was is the least of my problems.

My worst public experience was: I was visiting Toronto and all of a sudden, my stomach began to ache and I started blowing gas through my rectum. I looked around for a fast food joint but there weren’t any. I then saw the Royal York Hotel which was one block away. As I slowly dragged myself there, my diarrhea felt like birth pangs which caused me squat down until the pain subsided. I finally made it to a bathroom and I was met by an employee dressed in a uniform. They charged 25 cents to use the stall. I didn’t have a quarter on me! I rummaged through my pockets and luckily I had a Canadian $1 Loonie. He couldn’t give me four quarters fast enough!!

STORY TIME Omg, this happened to my 13 year old little brother last week. We went up to Disney world for my 14 birthday, and my parents flew back a day early, leaving me, my little brother Austin, And my 15 year old sister Claire at my ant and uncles house. We ate at some sketchy food truck before we got onto the plane, once we took off Austin got up and literally launched himself over Claire, I was in the window seat and he was in middle, Claire was in the ails. He stayed in the bathroom for like 10 minutes and I finally went to go check on him. He came out of the bathroom and the poor guy looked absolutely miserable, he was super pale and sweaty, I asked him what happened and he said he had been throwing up and sh*ting uncontrollably. Poor kid, he fell asleep for the remander of the flight.
