After my battle with addictions, my ever present demons, my old lies and dishonesty she never completely gave up on me. I was already broken when she met me and was already in a spiraling descent and I even told her that in our first few nights we hung out. I had put her through more than she should have had to put up with, yet she told me everyone has something that ain't perfect about them...I have a little girl with her now and I'm a lot better than I used to be...I haven't been perfect but yet that's life especially when your demons don't like to hide. Just the other day 6 years into building back the bridge I started to burn in both directions I heard a tone in her voice that I hadn't felt in a while. It was the tune of serenity and cheerfulness and it was continuous hope for me...I live my life for her and my daughter and it's not easy and takes a lot of determination because I struggle. I will be the Father I'm needed to be and the Man she has fought to save and be with. Thank You.

I dedicate this song to my son who is about to pop out any minute. Son I love you already more then you will ever know. I will do what I can to protect you from any of the pain I have felt in my life. Still haven't finalized your name but it will be the best name for who you hopefully will become. I came across Foy by divine intervention. My dad's name was Foy and he passed in 2005. I like to think that my dad is watching over me. I love this song💕🕊

This song… I don’t have a guiding light like I did when I first heard this song on the Live at Bangor Abbey album in 2014, but now (Sept 2023), I still feel the power in it. It’s both powerful and hopeful, while also dropping me to my knees to just hold on… I’m so happy to see these other comments here and to learn that I’m not the only one so deeply affected by it. ❤️‍🩹

My youngest son of 29 died to a cold prison floor on medication the warden prescribed for anxiety. Died on his favorite holiday…..Thanksgiving 2018, Buried him the 28, on my bday! His birthday is the 18th of June, he has be allowed to send amazing, unbelievable, beautiful gifts from heaven and like a cool breeze passing through I just received this jaw dropping song. Thank you for using the gift God gave you. Jesus love it when we dance!

When I hear this song I think about my old dog, who as been my friend and companion through life - always just him and me. But he is getting old and grey and can no longer come with me to the forest, though when I'm there I can't see the point without him. I don't have much longer here, myself. If we went together it would be my greatest wish come true.

I played this song for my dad the day before he passed away. I heard hearing was the last to go, so he wasn't able to respond but I hope it soothed him. I cry every time I hear this song, even though he passed in 2018. Thank you Foy for writing such a beautiful song ❤
