What a landslide of videos! This is the first time I've heard of Fractal introducing smaller variations of the Torrent. Good to hear they didn't disappoint.

You highlighted and explained the exact concern I had with the case, the connectors at the top of the mobo with such a large cooler. I'll be building in this case this month, and this video has made me more confident.

That's a beautiful PC. It's a relatively bigger case for an ITX build, but I loved the Cooler Master NR200P and I like this one as well. I am definitely considering this case for my next build.

I think the Phanteks P200i is a great alternative to this case. It is smaller in every direction, fits 2 more fans, comes with 2 rgb fans and also CHEAPER. The only thing neither case can achieve is fitting an mAtx Mobo(although they both could easily do, but decided not to). Any of the 2 case would be the best if could fit mAtx.

I really been wanting to build a mini itx and im digging this case. I accidentally bought a full fractal design meshify, thinking it was a compact meshify. It's a good case and tons of airflow but it's huge. At least for me.

curious about the psu temperatures considering it is pulling air right above the cpu air cooler. Not a lot of space between the psu shroud and the cpu cooler.

Thanks for your Fractal Design Torrent series videos. I’m about to do my first PC air-cooled build. A 4090 Founders Edition will fit. However, I fear that it will run very hot (and loud). What do you think? (FYI, I’ve subscribed & followed!)

Such a cool oldschool way to mount the psu. If you want air cooling this is the coolest classic case. I don't like the huge fan though is it possible to replace it with 2 120mm fans or is the hole too big?

Also really stupid question, but as you mentioned - how do you control individual fan speed and RGB? Given the motherboards available, say Asrock B660M ITX, and say I use 4 fans in this, how do I control them? I understand every part about PC building except this RGB & Fan speed syncing thing.

Great review. This is fairly close to the size of an O11 Air Mini though which gives far more flexibility. With the new mesh panels I wonder if it would be as cool and quiet as the Fractal. If not, then this might be the way to go. I appreciate cool and quiet over flexibility and size. Do you know if the Fractal label can come off the front?

What motherboard are you using, cause I wanna build that but all the ITX motherboards are either crap or wayyy to expensive. Would love some budget suggestions!

I would be real curious if you could remove the gpu fans from the card (remove the shroud) and instead mount 2 x 140mm Phanteks T30 fans in the bottom of the case. These fans would be so close to the gpu they should cool it well, and they also move alot of air at low speed. I wonder if the gpu and cpu Temps would benefit from such a setup...

Do you think the Nano would be enough to air-cool an i9 13900k?

I'd love to see the testing that was done with regards to the bottom fans not being effective when too close to the GPU that was referenced a few times in the video. Anyone know what the name of the video with that testing is?

Hello, I'm trying to decide between the Fractal Torrent Compact and the Nano, the main concern I have is if in the Nano the GPU runs much hotter than in the Compact... Any recommendations? I saw both of your reviews, but its not easy to compare them as you used different GPUs in each build. Thanks you!!

Great video Christopher. I have a question regarding fan configuration between your old 011 dynamic and the new evo. You never tried top and bottom intake, side outtake on the Evo (which you used on the old o11). How do you think it would result in comparsion with your current Evo results?

This case is almost perfect for me (itx case with enough space for a cat on top!). The only thing I would have preferred would have been having the PSU/drive mount at the bottom which would have opened up the top of the case for a 240/280mm radiator, plus that PSU shroud would work excellently for pushing air up towards the intake side of a GPU in that orientation. Having said that I think I'm likely going to pick up a Meshify C Mini as the size difference between them is minor but the options for the meshify make it a bit more flexible for me.

240mm Asetek AIOs should in fact NOT be better than fullsize air coolers especially not in a case with good intake. Due to Asetek not having made any signifigant improvements for more than 8 years!! There are multible credible sources showing that most 240mm AIOs sucks especially in a noise/performance confiquation compared to full size aircoolers. When watercolling its eighter Go BIG or go home! The only exception being for extremely compact builds were 140/240 watercooling is the only optinon.

Fractal made the idiot decision to waste so much space for the psu section.🤦‍♂️

For me, 93 C temp. is toasty and not acceptable even during stress test. Excellent temperature for me means under 80C during aida 64.

sorry but again putting a TG panel on the rear side, is stupid. fractal needs a new product manager. because they really are out of touch.
