Classic Five Nations encounter between France and Wales back in 1999 at the Stade de France in Paris. Wales' first win out in France for 24 years.

Watched this as a kid, Neil Jenkins was a phenomenal outside half! Not just a brilliant goal kicker, but dangerous and creative distributor as well, great that we have him as a coach now.

Hugely admired in Ireland, regarded by many as the best penalty taker ever and could take enormous punishment for his size.

Neil Jenkins -what a player! Forgotten how much we used to rely on him. Massively underrated also.

He was metronomic.....At one time he didn't miss a penalty for nearly 3 years in a Wales shirt.....

He was rated about right. Ponty legend. Welsh stalwart. Lions series winner.

Back then I was just out of uni and teaching in a small town in China. My Dad mailed a VHS tape of this game to me, I had to wrangle a classroom and the only VHS machine in the college (China was all discs already), and a whole class of my students - guys and girls - insisted on watching with me and that I teach them the rules first. They then all got massively into the game, cheering tries, spotting forward passes etc. I still live in China and some of those students still follow rugby - Wales fans of course.

How things change. Took 24years for the welah to beat France in Paris, now it's seen as a shock if Wales don't win in Paris

Castaignede was the hero the previous year, running rings round Jenkins, but here winning roles were reversed.

Shame we get to see so little of France. Totally one-sided video.
