WGN used to show the official MLB film of the 1959 World Series during rain delays. Some other ones I remember that were shown were, of course, the 1945 WS and The Roberto Clemente Story. I’m sure there were more, but those stand out in my memory for some reason.

Back then, there was a real rivalry between the leagues. Now, with interleague play taking up more of the schedule, the lines are blurred. I bet within 5 years there's a realignment and there'll be no more AL and NL, with teams divided into conferences by geography. It's sad, but time marches on...
