Kevin Tucker Theres a big difference in a person being a humble, christian, totally selfless man....and someone paid to act like one. He did a good job acting in the movie, but no one; no matter how great an actor can ever capture the soul of Mr Fred Rogers. He was a one of a kind creation of God.

Nowadays it grew a bit darker around the world. But Mister Rogers inspired thousands of people to create a tremendous community. His kindness is more powerful than the war. Then the weaponry. Then the unnecessary anger. Then the harmful drugs. I thanked him for making me a grown man and soon meet some kind people.

I remember Mr. Rogers in my tears of sadness, pain and heartache. I am so so so glad I am being reminded of this manly gentleman who tried very hard to live the life of a true Christian. However, even as many might be crying there are children being put in harms way, stripped from their parents and/or their favorite adult and caretaker in this country. God will not forget nor forgive that sin. Mr. Rogers speaks to us adults with the same clarity, honesty, sincerity and authenticity that he spoke to us as children. He made sure not to speak down to us then and he didn't do it as we "grew" up. He was engaging, humble and caring. Modest in habits and wanted to be of service to his family and to the greater community. We were introduced to mature subjects because we could handle them as long as someone was there who CARED to patiently explained them to us. And he was passionate about education. I could go on and on. There is nothing weird about him because...he was a normal...human being. People like normal...believe it or not. Even as each of us are unique. The way we were created to be. Thank you for this very moving tribute...bye 🚎.

Fred, I was blessed to watch your show, and I'm incredibly glad to call you my neighbor then and now. Our nation sure could use you warm, genuine, kind, and caring self but instead we are left with what you left behind for us to learn off of. You are not forgotten, but you are sorely missed. With this world going mad now, we need Fred Rodgers to help the kids today see the positive side of thing's. He was a wonderful role model to us growing up. I learned more from him than I learned in school. He left a legacy and wonderful memories. Crazy stuff is happening in this generation and there is so much hate and anger, confusion and intolerance. If any of these people would have watched Mr. Rodgers, maybe we wouldn't have all the problems we are having now. Maybe we could learn to love and respect one another more than we do now. But there will never be another guy like him who has a heart of gold and who only saw human beings, not black, white, disabled, or whatever. Someone said "Mr. Rodgers didn't die, God needed a neighbor". I say he just went home and those of us who took him seriously will see him again when its our turn to leave this earth. Rest in Peace Mr. Rodgers. We love and miss you.

I feel like it would of been like the movie “Mr. Smith goes to Washington”, where he’d genuinely want to do good yet would be thwarted and filibustered at every turn albeit his kindness and empathy could mean he could easily reach across the aisle and build bridges and unity. He’d, I think would be a decent president as he would of been someone to reject power and remain uncorrupted, probably would donate most of his salary. He could maybe do some good but he’d be seen as an enemy by the self-interested psychopaths who make up most politicians or corporations. A constant uphill battle but he’d have the overwhelming love and support by the people I don’t think they could touch or hurt him without a massive riot. Rhetorically, are you really going to be the guy to insult or slander him?

I am 65 years old. I am 6'3, weigh 265 pounds and have always been regarded as a pretty tough guy. I am not ashamed to say that watching this video made me weep. After watching this memorial to this lovely man, I watched news footage of what took place in the capitol building. And I think what made me cry was the realization that our country has lost its soul. Mister Rogers didn't just give lip service to decency and empathy and compassion and forgiveness and love. He lived those ideals. Over the past few days I've heard many people say of America, that this is not who we are. Yes, sadly it is. But we as a nation don't have to remain this way. I don't know the answer to how we can change, but there are enough good people who know we must change that will lead us out of this ugly wilderness we are in. Fred Rogers looked for the good in people. He brought out the good in people. One of Mister Rogers most well know quotes said we must look to the helpers. Well helpers, it's time to roll up your sleeves because there is a lot of work to be done. Bless you Fred Rogers. And thank you for leaving us with a road map to find our way out of this sad mess.

Very nice tribute to Mr. Rogers. The movie was just touching and it had me in tears. What this world needs is more kindness and understanding. Mr. Rogers was the type of man who took the time to get to the root of our problems and to meet us halfway. His life spoke well for itself. I'm so glad my brother and I grew up watching him. He definitely was an inspiration to all walks of life.

To those of us who grew up in dysfunctional home, watching 30 minutes of Mister Rogers a day was an escape, a place were we could be a child and let our imagination run free. It brings tears to my eyes because he made me feel like he was talking directly to me as if I was the only one watching. He touched so many childrens lives and made the world a better place. A person like Mister Rogers is rare and sorely missed. 😢🕊

Growing up in an abusive and tumultuous house I never knew anything but drunkenness and violence. Mr. Rogers Neighborhood was my safe place, my escape. I watched it longer than most kids my age and still catch myself watching an episode from time to time when I can. I work as a School Resource Officer now and I try to take every opportunity to share love with every child I am fortunate enough to be there to protect. I try to make sure that make sure every child feels as special and Fred Rogers made me feel as a child. The world needs more Fred Rogers.

Why would anyone give this a thumbs down? This man was a kind and generous and loving man. I am so sad that my childrendidn't get the privilege and honor of growing up with him like I did. I watched his show way into my teen years. And I'm so grateful that his wife put out his movies and book last year and honor of his 90th birthday.

Fred Rogers was a giant among men, and quite possibly the single most influential person in the history of television. He not only represented what is best in caring about the education and wellbeing of children both en mas and as individuals, he also represented what is best in humanity, prioritizing their knowledge and fostering their ability to fit into a rapidly changing world and that fear and anger were to be felt and handled constructively, just like any other emotion or feeling. We couldn't miss him more than we do today. He was always a mountain of stability for us in a world of questions, wonder and chaos. Do yourself a giant favor and watch Tom Hanks' portrayal of him in the movie A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood. It will forever change for the better how you feel about a man you already know and love. 😀

Mr. Rogers is by far one of those people I came to recognize when I was still in kindergarten back in the early 90s. Though I didn't understand much of what he was trying to teach, he had a personality right alongside the characters of Sesame Street (which I often watched at the time). Now as an adult, it makes perfect sense after seeing the reruns of what I vaguely remembered those years ago. Morals that cannot be denied. And I wouldn't have known who violinist Itzhak Perlman would be had it not been for Disney's Fantasia 2000. Glad he got involved in this tribute.

This amazing tribute needs to be shown on all major television networks to show everyone and remind everyone how wonderful he was. This world has gone backwards since his passing in 2003, and the young people who did not grow up with this gifted human being can not comprehend any of this nor do they want to WHY? Is it so terrible for something good and a person like Fred Rogers to be discarded as a fluke or not important to think about ? Anyone who does not like what he stood for or the kind of person he was has no heart and is not worthy of being a human being Period !!!!!

I honestly think when Mr. Rogers died, that's when television officially died. Seriously, you don't see nice shows like his for kids these days anymore. (And NO, Daniel Tiger is just his CHEAP animated rip-off who only exists to make a quick buck, he doesn't count.) (There's too much CGI GARBAGE, violence, DISGUSTING toilet humor, etc. these days in cartoons and shows these days.) I'm honestly glad I grew up with nice shows like his, Oswald The Octopus, etc. in the early 2000's, and I feel sorry for the kids now who are growing up with these terrible DISGUSTING toilet humor crap in shows these days now. Seriously, what happened to shows like his? :(
