i have a cdl already but am 20 years old and can’t find a job. Do either companies take you in for local routes? or do more training for you, so your still fresh until you are 21?

OTR is your best bet starting out. Once you hit that 100 thousand miles .. more companies are likely and willing to give you local/regional routes

@@DashKingz appreciate the response back man! i really wanna start my career with a company like this. like i said im only 20 id hate to wait another 6 months, because truthfully i cant find another company who will hire me. i heard swift hires you from the start of your career anyways. not sure if its strictly 21+

Most companies contract with school included are for 2 years. Now that's with cdl and education provider *meaning the company paid .. now you can pay more to pay off quicker but from what I hear it's a 2 yr contract

the WIOA is a State funded program that people usually use for school. Swift is its own seperate schooling and will fund you being a trainee/Employee through their own program. in other words Wioa is for State funded school/Training and Swift is a company that would pay for your training through them.
