Diving For Fishing Tackle (Point Roberts & Nanaimo)
In this two part episode I take a dive in Point Roberts, Washington under the old pier close to the Iconic "Reef" Pub. I was searching for old bottles but stumbled upon a very relaxing dive. On the second day I dive around Nanoose bay for some fishing line and lures. I hit the jackpot!

Yeah man no sweat. I love when I get to clean up and take things home of value. Win win! The goal, don't lose it all again haha. Luckily, I can dive after it if I do.

Another great video. Been watching your vids now for a while and thoroughly enjoy every one! Keep them coming. A big thanks for cleaning up all the man-made junk like these lures and line that you find on your dives. Really bothers me to know how much crap is in our oceans. You're living the life I wish I had. I grew up in Powell River and moved to 100 Mile House in 1986 and have been here ever since - really miss the coastal life. Maybe I can convince the wife to move back sometime. We do get up to Powell River every summer with the boat and go for salmon, bottom fish, crabs, and prawns and usually do pretty good. Always wanted to snorkel or scuba dive and never did learn and I'm getting a little old now but watching your vids is almost as good as being there. And I totally support spearfishing - you can be selective in what you catch and you don't leave cannon balls, lures, line, and what knows else on the bottom like the rest of us anglers do. Take care! Haha all good. And thanks man! I'm happy people who are land locked can still get a taste of the ocean through my videos. At least you still get a fix every summer though. Whether on a boat or in the ocean, it's just nice to be around the sea. And I hear yeah, fishing tackle is just the beginning. I find so much trash it gets pretty discouraging. I'm guilty of a modern lifestyle and definitely go through more garbage than I'm happy to admit. I do my best and clean up what I can but it's just a small drop in the bucket. Prevention is the best option without a doubt. You're never too old to start diving though so don't let age discourage you. One of the biggest reasons I started was due to boxing injuries. I needed a way to keep busy and I always wanted to get into freediving so it was the perfect activity. Very low impact!

That lead sinker with the arms is a beach casting weight, its supposed to be used for sand, its burys itself and then when you get a bite you give it a hard pull and the arms collapse and youre able to reel in! Epic vid, just moved to the island a month ago now, would be keen to go for a spearfishing mission!

Wicked man I appreciate the Intel. I've never seen one of those contraptions. And do it! Fish or no fish, still good exercise and you always see cool stuff.
