Oh god I didn't expect this to be so good and deep as well. The comedy, adventure and romance in this film is perfectly blended. Just hoping tho Guy has found someone as well like millie in the end but its okay, a true friend is better than a lover for me.

Gonna be honest I dont like any romance stuff in a movie cuz its cheesy but this one is pretty great. The execution of it was unique . A love letter through coding/programming of an npc was really a smart move.

Unfortunately, the tiny Plot Holes and tiny 'improveworthy moments' became more and more till the End (probably cause the End was rather complex) but its still the right Direction. Overall: Not outstanding, but if we go into that direction, we reach outstanding Quality again. 'Again'... I hope we can go back and exit the Quality-Drought named 2020/2021...

This movie is a love story in disguise. Truly. With action on top of it built on another story. It was a trip, but a good one. Glad I didn't just watch it halfway and bailed on it. I held on and watched it to the end and boy, it was worth it. Well written. The girl/guy of your dreams is right in front of you if you can take the time to just look.

It was a trash super simp romance movie with political undertones. Almost 0 action, only the initial bank heist was any kind of satisfying. Black people got done dirty in this movie and got caste as the bumbling comedic relief (again!) and as know it all side characters. There were some funny moments, but the writers generally portrayed "nerds" as super virgin losers and brought on some of the most toxic youtubers/twitch streamers in the community for the movie. The only cool character was the antagonist, because his motivations actually made rational sense.

Remember in the original trailer when Guy wrestles his own pair of glasses in a scene that was actually kind of funny? And then we get a cute bit of worldbuilding when he picks up a health pack? Yeah now the hot girl just walks up to him and gives them to him and explains why he's so epic and cool.

Maybe the first one is his first time he saw through the glass and knew this is a game, but then he died and forget everything. That is why the girl know he is difference from the other NPC, and she provided him with another one.

This was the funniest Ryan Reynolds movie ever........... EVER., (sorry, mr pool) was laughing from start to finish and I couldn't believe who was in the movie as a cameos. So very awesome. Run now to watch this movie.

Wow, so Quality still exists? Not outstanding Quality, but still Quality? The real deal? Interesting to see not everything is Woke and/or political and/or cringe. Unfortunately, the tiny Plot Holes and tiny 'improveworthy moments' became more and more till the End (probably cause the End was rather complex) but its still the right Direction. Overall: Not outstanding, but if we go into that direction, we reach outstanding Quality again. 'Again'... I hope we can go back and exit the Quality-Drought named 2020/2021...

Just got done watching this in cinema. Best comedy in a very long time even if your not crazy about video games like my girl but she still enjoyed. Ryan Reynolds best performance.

@@reuben8648 maybe it's part of the character because she's the master at accents I don't have a good ear for American accent but I can say this that she sounds nothing like her real accent and this is her first hollywood project as well in a lead

It wasn’t the whole script, but the bank scene was definitely different, they added her to it for some reason. Originally she was only seen from the back in the montage after he put the glasses on. you can find the original trailer from 2019 around KZfaq

She's yet to perfect her American accent. Lots of non-American actors struggle with American accent as well, especially when they're not used to it or if it's their first film using the accent. Emma Watson in The Bling Ring for example. Jodie Comer is exceptional regardless.

Love when they make more movies describing self awareness and illusion.. Especially when we are actually living in a dream/play/game already that we must break out of and leave behind.. but it really gives me hope that more and more conscious souls seek self awareness and leave the herd mentality behind…

What an awesome watch! So many thought provoking concepts put forward: 1. A free world game doesn't necessarily mean shooting and killing around just for harmless fun. Why can't games equally give incentive to saving people or doing simple acts of kindness as free world missions? After all these games do shape up the young minds in some way or other! 2. Since the movie Matrix, the thought of maybe we are living in a virtual world started seeming so much possible and probable! This one try to present a similar thought in context of the gaming world. As a gamer, loved it! 3. The last and the most important thought, what if this world is not real, you are not real! What is the meaning of life and its purpose? This movie answered it in the most unexpected simplicity - "So What?" Helping someone in need and loving your close ones, these moments are real for you and for them, those moments are as real as reality can be!
