Just some tips: Home button flex removal: A little heat rather than going straight in and prying. Battery removal: Lots of heat on the battery side - it's aluminium so it won't damage the logic board and even some IPA down the sides of the battery helps with removal. Front cam flex/ambient sensor - Heat yet again whilst slowly going under it (this especially helps on newer models). Heat is essential for removing most glued in parts (especially those 7/7p/8/8p home buttons) - I left you a tip for those on an Instagram message. Anyhow, loving the restoration videos and keep up the good work!

I had a similar battery replacement Issue, except when I was cutting into one of the broken strips, I was cutting into the battery without knowing. Good thing sparks flew, or I would have had an explosion!

Here’s a good tip, Hugh: when replacing the battery, wrap the adhesive some tweezers and pull the tabs out that way. It works for 80% of the time

I recently bought an iPhone 7 32GB Unlocked for £20. The seller said the phone was Icloud locked which it was however he knew the passcode which he gave me and I used this to remove the icloud. I now have an iPhone 7 for only £20. Originally he wanted £50 but I lowered it to £20 giving the excuse of the cracked LCD and housing. I will now replace the housing with a custom product red one and a brand new LCD fitted with tempered glass. The phone will be worth around £230 once done and I spent a total of 60£ to restore it! Will be making a video on this soon. #Another_Phone_Saved_From_The_Landfill. Awesome work Hugh with the restoration vids by the way! Keep it up really enjoy it!

Hey hugh is it ok for me to keep my original working battery but the battery it's inflated or shall I just swap it out for a new one? Swapping the battery won't be a pain as it's an original iphone 5 and has the pull tab design to remove the battery.
