I think it just comments on the pure shallowness of the banners and slogans and adherence to faith only in words and action without a deeper level of reason or thinking, something that many people evidently lack (look up the studies if you dont believe me), but ironically, this capacity to reason has very longingly been thought to be an ability endowed by god, yet so many lack the capacity to use it yet claim their allegiance to him. If you do not with to be reasonable and a deep thinker you are inherently hypocritical to the very faculties that bring us closer to the divine. these are values that were put into the constitution during the age of enlightenment and we are heading into another dark age as a western democracy if not already. systems of power and institutions that were and still are bound by the law of god have since abandoned their belief in him and expect us to adopt this adherence to gods law as their proof of their own omnipotence and connection to the divine. Divinity is not found in a court of law, or a constitution but a true belief and understanding of the basic morality and good faith to put in practice the development of reason and understanding for one another, no matter the cost to ourselves as this is the true sacrifice that Jesus Christ made on the cross, the deepest understanding that we do not know what we do is what freed him from the chains and bounds of sheer mortality and exalted him and his teachings to be proclaimed as the living god. A value we all appreciate but fail to apply in our thinking, actions and implementation. Many Christians only in name but not in the practice of withholding judgement that condemns others who think differently, and completely disregarding their responsibility to constantly develop and practice their own god given reason. pretty defiant to god.
