USAF B-52H Stratofortress aircrew from the 2nd Bomber Wing performs air-to-air refueling with a C-135FR from French Air Force. The airmen are deployed to RAF Fairford for a 3 week deployment supporting bomber assurance and deterrence operations.

First tanker is an USAF KC-135R from 100 Air Refueling Wing and the second one (from outside view to the end) is a French Air Force C-135FR.

12 entered service in the French Air Force in 1964, one lost in Polynesia in 1972, they must leave the service between October 2020 and 2024.

@odeus predrinn the one in the pit video is from 100th Air Refueling Wing, USAF. The one in the exterior view is from 1/31 « Bretagne », French Air force

I believe there are actually two tankers involved and the first one was American.

Cannot be a C-135FR as refueling booms used by the French are completely different.

C-135FR (and US KC-135) are fitted to use both systems : flying boom and probe and drogue.

@@jeannemard1119 needs a field conversion and some operator training. Standard FAF practice is probe and dogue
