I was dating my future husband when he was going through his divorce. He has to prove to me that it was over and that he was who he said he was. He had to PROVE HIMSELF TO ME. He did and we have been happily married for 9 years. I was cautious in the beginning. I was not going to be the rebound gal . I put those wall up and was cautious. This is one of my best videos....priceless. A partner who is always right / or a victim , is a sign of immaturity. I want truth....it takes two to tango. There is no perfect human being. I want a guy who can be vulnerable and acknowledge where things went wrong...not blaming his ex for everything. Love never fails. I want to deal with his true self i.e his imperfections. We need to be civil in whatever we do.

You should cover dating a divorced guy with kids + xwife if there is a child custody & a divorced woman with kids dating a divorced guy with kids and without. Fairytale is great (honeymoon period ends right around 3 months mark) but we have to be realistic that 40+ women and men are most likely to have kids.

LOVE this. 👏👏👏👏👏 THANK YOU!!!!! My guy friends said the divorced man I'm talking to has red flags because he hid the fact that he has children. He said his wife probably told them he's dead, and they lived in Idaho, they won't need any financial help because they're covered with the wife's family finances. He has also hid the fact that he's divorced now online. However, I do see he meets all 5 of these criteria. Maybe I'll take my time and see if that's it. He said he changed his profile to talk to me because he knew I wanted a man with no children.

If he hid the fact about his children, that’s the biggest 🚩 red flag ever. Those kids definitely have trauma from the loss of a father. He’s definitely not a Godly man. Being a father is not just financial, it’s spending time with children as well.

So when does the "Divorced" date clock start ticking? When someone is legally separated and moves out, it can still be multi-year process. Does the limbo time while waiting it out count toward the Divorce time clock to find rebound girlfriends and work through all the negative issues?

I don’t date anyone without seeing a divorce decree. That’s a clear boundary. The clock starts after the divorce is finalized. I’m in a situation where my ex got a divorce in 2019 and called me. I was his friend however he lied and his divorce actually finalized in 2021. I waited for red flags and that was a huge one. I refused to be a rebound and cut communication. I never engaged in intimacy and I’m so happy I made that chose. Now he’s rebounding with other women in which he’ll break their heart.

I believe in friendships before any physical contact. The problem is that men that I’ve met do not want to be friends first and try to kiss me pretty soon (1 or 2 date). I always refuse the kiss, and it always ends there. Recently, I’ve met a new man and he invited me for a coffee. He is a cop and has a 14 year old son. He picked me up from my place and I asked where exactly I would like to go out. I said I prefer if he chooses a place. In that moment he proposed his appartment. I refused and proposed a coffe place on town. Then he said that he can’t show me in public as he is not yet divorced. My heart sunk. He can only invite me to his place for coffee as his reputation is important for him and people might see us in public. Apparently only 1 week left till divorce. I did not know how to react. I was really disappointed. I proposed a short walk outside of his building but he insisted to visit him. After a long convincing and promise that he won’t be forcing me to sleep with him, I went to his place. He seemed nervous and smoked a lot of cigarettes. Did not want to talk too much about his divorce, although I asked a few questions. Anyways, he tried to touch and kiss me but I told him that it should have a meaning for me and for now it is too fast. I also added that we can stay friends for now and get to know eachother but he replied that he wants cuddles and fun and that he is afraid of women. We ended our meeting on a friendly note with a big hug. Then he brought me back home and we parted. It’s been more than 2 weeks now and I haven’t heard from him. I sended him a short text to ask how he is doing. He red it but did not reply. I would really appreciate your advice. What would you do in my situation? Would you react differently? What should I do next? Is it ok to call & him now to find out if he got divorced? Was me not kissing him a deal brakes for him? Also, I know that when dating, we should wait with sex but what about a kiss? Sometimes I feel that I am too strict and overthinking. Please help me to figure this out 🙏

I am dating a guy who he is my childhood friend....though i lost contact in between .....again i came in a contact for last two years.....then i came to know he had a relation which he broke up as a result his family pressurized him to marry another girl ....he did....he compromised for his family.....but just aftr this marriage .....they set apart one in Italy and the guy in India......he never even tried to work out his marraige......he said me he want to give divorce .....because there is no sign of marraige .....now again he came in a dilema .....if family doesnt want him to give divorce ....if the girl doesnt agree.....on the other hand we r in relation as we have nice compatibility.......when i tell him to take initiative....he fears.....neither he leaves me......PLZ HELP ME ALEX HOW COULD I HELP BOTH OF US

What if by asking him those questions (about his last relationship or what was he grateful for) you will make him think more about his ex and maybe miss her? Is it not better to just watch his actions, try to be his platonic friend first and if he refuses then leave him the heck alone?

Here's the thing about "equal investment." Men need to start recognizing how much a woman of quality invests in dating outside of the check after dinner. Personally, I invest hundreds of dollars in clothes, jewelry, shoes, handbags, hair and makeup, nails, skincare...and the list goes on. I show up looking like someone he's proud to be with and like i care what he thinks. Now, when he shows up in jeans and a hoodie and then expects to also go dutch or have me treat, at least in the beginning, it's actually insulting to me. No woman wants a man who takes her for granted or isn't willing to recognize what it takes to be a desirable woman.

Is the process the same for women? I’m curious. I’m going through a divorce. I never viewed divorce as an option so did everything to make myself happy despite my husband not putting much emotional/mental/physical effort into our relationship. He decided while I was pregnant that he wasn’t happy in our marriage and had feelings for another woman. I went through the five stages of grief/divorce in about a four month period but now I just feel so done and ready to move on. I’m in therapy, on antidepressants, and have built a good support system. I’m fine with being single for two years, but also don’t feel it’s necessary

I’ll add that my responsibility in our marriage ending was that I was very insecure when we first got married. I deep down knew I shouldn’t marry my soon to be ex-husband but I was too insecure to end it because I didn’t want to deal with the pain of a breakup.

The part about female energy made me sad. He was juggling many at once incl me just bc he wanted to fill the void, he liked me but he was not ready. Hence he was for the quanitity dating online. And then once those great men are ready they dont have to sit on dating apps, they get together with the next women they meet live. I never meet such guys live. Will he come back...?
