Everyone needs more Miss Marple. I have read this Agatha Christie, but you are making me want to go to the library and check some out. Although I already have too much on my plate! So many books, so little time. Happy reading Aaron! 💛 ☘️🔎🦣

Really pleased you enjoyed The 4.50 from Paddington, it's definitely my favourite Miss Marple and I wish AC had written more. The Thirteen Problems is another good one, and At Bertram's Hotel. I've read one mystery for MMM, A Death in the Parish by the Rev. Richard Coles. Quite impressed with this book series of his. I haven't read Shogun but recall the TV series from 1980 with Richard Chamberlain very well. I think there's been a remake too. I started a reread of Cadfael a couple of years ago but ground to a halt, your talking about them makes me want to get back to it. Enjoy your March reading.

I didn't even know Coles wrote books, I might have to check those out, he always seems very nice on TV.

I have that Megan loan book on my tbr shelves but have not read it yet. I absolutely love the 4.50 from Paddington and Shogun. I have Shogun to reread this year. I also have Tai-Pan and Noble House. I haven’t read them for many years and am looking forward to reading them again. Great wrap up 😊

Ooo I hadn't even thought about the rest of the series. He sure doesn't like writing short books by the looks of it.

Middle grade and Irish books in progress here. I've got the Megan Nolan book on order as it's on the women's prize list. I finish a 17h audiobook, so guess that's kind of a mammoth?! Glad you're enjoying Shogun so much.

I didn't know it had been nominated! I wonder how long the audiobook for shogun would be haha. I'm listening to a 16 hour one myself, I think I'm getting better at them.

@@AaronReadABook that's great, I'd read way less books per year without audiobooks! Some books are really well suited to audio. I'm listening to Anne Enright's new book, also on the women's prize, and free on Spotify - great for thr Irish accents 😊

Hi Aaron! Sounds like you’re reading and have read some great books! Currently I am enjoying Dark Fire by CJ Sansom and Crooked House by Agatha Christie for March Mystery Madness. Also started Lonesome Dove and Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell for my mammoths. Was just going to choose just one but read the first few chapters of both and didn’t want to put either down. At this rate, I’ll be done both events in December 😅. Agree with you about not enough Marple in the couple of Marples I’ve read. Although more Marple in A Murder is Announced, and a great read.

Sansom is similar to Cadfael in a way, but I think Cadfael is lighter, I've only read the first in that series so I need to get back to that one day. I read Crooked House a few months ago and loved it, it's one of my favourite Christies. Lonesome Dove is in my top 5 ever books so it sounds like you have a great month too!

I own The Blue Book of Nesbo but when I bought it didn’t realize it was middle grade 🤦‍♀️ Really looking forward to the tv series of Shogun, especially after your description Aaron. I’m working through three mammoths although two I’d already started before March, Little Dorrit, Funeral Nights by Kynpham Sing Nongkynrih and Shadows at Noon by Joya Chatterji. No doubt I’ll still be reading them all in the next few months or five!

3 mammoths is dedication 😂Blue Book sounds quite dark for a middlegrade/YA, and it won the wales book of the year so I think it probably has wide appeal.

Game of Thrones in Japan sounds really good! I still haven’t read any Miss Marple yet, but I started the first Tommy and Tuppence book The Secret Adversary. They’re quite the characters lol. I’m still working on Clarissa for March of the Mammoth, which will take me AT LEAST the rest of the month. I really like it, though!

I don't think you get more mammoth than Clarissa, I'm saving that for when I retire 😁 I've not read any Tommy and Tuppence yet.

I enjoyed 4:50 from Paddington as well, I agree it's a shame that one character didn't make any further appearances. I've been meaning to read some Cadfael but my brain hasn't cooperated on this matter yet. I'll get there eventually. I'm not deliberately doing 'March of the Mammoths,' but I did just start Assassin's Quest by Robin Hobb this morning so... I suppose I am, coincidentally!
@AaronReadABook

Yes Robin Hobb is all about mammoth books. I'm loving Cadfael as a character, and there are 20 of them so I've got plenty of time left with him.

@@AaronReadABook I’ve seen one episode of the Cadfael telly series, and enjoyed it. But I’d rather read the books first. One of these days!

Hey Aaron, I tried to like your video and it wouldn’t let me. It said caller doesn’t have permission, whatever that means 😆 I hope you like everything you’re reading. I started Shogun last year but got distracted.
